You Can Copy Disney Park's Tokyo Sunset Cocktail at Home in Four Easy Steps
Epcot is closed until July 15, which makes it pretty hard to drink around the world with the Disney resort's signature cocktails. However, a couple of TikTok recipes have popped up online that allow you to recreate the best of the theme park's offerings right at home—and one TikTok user, Bethany Vinton, recently posted an easy way to try one of the most beloved drinks, the Tokyo Sunset.

It's a great, summery cocktail, usually purchased at the outdoor sake bar in Epcot's Japan Pavillion. But since that's not possible right now, Vinton's alternative is pretty perfect and the Fourth of July seems like a good time to try it. Vinton has also recreated Epcot's La Cava Avocado Margarita and the Tipsy Ducks in Love drink on TikTok, if that's more your vibe.
Here's the Recipe:
1.5 oz Malibu Rum
1.5 oz Peach Schnapps
1.5 oz Banana Liqueur
4 oz Pineapple Juice
Splash of Grenadine
Here's how it's done:
Vinton whips up her version of the Tokyo Sunset super quickly by putting ice in a shaker and adding all the liquor, before adding four ounces of pineapple Juice and shaking it up. To give it the red and yellow color that the drink gets its name from, she pours some grenadine to the top and adds orange for garnish (in some photos of the real cocktail, you can see Epcot also sometimes adds a cherry for extra oomph.) This is what your final product should look like:
The Tokyo Sunset cocktail is just one of Disney's classic items that people have started duping at home during quarantine. Other popular ones include the peanut-butter-and-jelly milkshake served at the ’50s Prime Time Café in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. Disney also recently shared its recipe for the famed Cookie Fries from the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, and it also released all the secrets to perfecting its well-known Mickey-shaped beignets. So pretty much, you have Disney food at your fingertips, even if the parks are closed.
