Sweet Magnolias is a popular new romance drama series on Netflix, which is based on a series of novels by Sherryl Woods. The emotional series follows a group of friends who rely on each other to get through dark times in their lives. Express.co.uk has everything you need to know about whether there will be a season 2 of Sweet Magnolias.

WARNING: This story contains spoilers for Sweet Magnolias

When is Sweet Magnolias season 2 out?

The first season of Sweet Magnolias landed on Netflix on May 19, 2020, and fans of the novels were excited to see the friends on the small screen.

As the series has only been out for a short time, it is too early to say whether a second season will be given the green light.

Netflix will most likely wait a few more weeks to see how many people tuned in for the first series, before making a decision.

If a season two is given the go-ahead, fans can expect to see it in the summer of 2021, however, due to coronavirus restrictions it may be a little later in the year.

With plenty of novels to use for source material, there is definitely scope for more episodes.

Who will be in the cast of Sweet Magnolias season 2?

One of the main characters, Maddie Townsend, is played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher and she is likely to return for another season.

Her friend Dana Sue Sullivan, who owns a restaurant, is played by Brook Elliott and the third friend, Helen Decatur, is played by Heather Headley.

Other main characters include the sister of pop sensation Britney Spears – Jamie Lynn Spears – as Noreen Fitzgibbons, the fiancee of Maddie’s ex-husband Bill (Chris Klein).

The main cast members have all spoken out in favour of a second season, with Spears telling The Sun she had her “fingers crossed”.

Garcia Swisher posted on her Instagram account to say the series had been the number one top trending show on Netflix in the US.

She said: “Woke up this morning to this news! I’m blown away. This week has been so exciting for the whole @sweetmagnoliasnetflix family.

“To be able to open the doors to Serenity and share our little slice of life with all of you has been so wonderful. And as overwhelmingly ecstatic we are to be in this spot, it is all because of you.”

Is there a trailer for Sweet Magnolias season 2?

Sadly as an official release date has not yet been given for season two, there is no trailer at this moment in time.

Netflix usually drops trailers the month before a new season is due to air, so fans may have to wait until next year.

With the coronavirus outbreak grinding production on many Netflix series to a halt, it is difficult to say when a first glimpse of season two will be out.

Express.co.uk will update this series when a trailer becomes available, and Netflix may also issue a short teaser in the near future.

Fans who have already fallen in love with the inspirational series have called for a second season.

What will happen in Sweet Magnolias season 2?

The TV show is based on a series of novels of the same name by Sherryl Woods, and each novel has a different title.

Woods said on Twitter that the first season was made up of the first three books, which means there are eight more books to work with.

If fans want to know more about what to expect from the new seasons, their best bet is to start reading the novels.

The series ended on a huge cliffhanger with Maddie’s son Kyle (Logan Allen) having been in a car crash, and there is someone else in the back seat.

Fans were left wondering who was in the car with Kyle, who was dragged out from the wreckage, as the season ends before their identity is revealed.

  • Selling Sunset: Who is Maya Vander’s husband? Inside relationship

Fans have already taken to Twitter to aks for a second season, with one viewer saying: “I hope Maddie doesn’t take back her cheating ex who has a baby on the way and works things out with the coach.

“I hope Helen ends up with Erik and I need to know who the second person in that car was. Also is Dana Sue Isaac’s mom?! I need a second season ASAP #SweetMagnolias.”

Another fan said: “Sweet Magnolias is playing my life with this cliffhanger. Season 2 needs to come out tomorrow. The suspense is killing me. #SweetMagnolias.”

Hundreds of viewers shared and retweeted the official Sweet Magnolias Twitter post asking who had already watched all 10 episodes.

Judging by the popularity of the series, there is definitely a chance the friends will be back for more adventures in Serenity.

Selling Sunset: Who sold the $40 million house on Selling Sunset?

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

Selling Sunset is an addictive reality TV series on Netflix which looks into the everyday lives of agents at The Oppenheim Group. The agents are known for selling some of the most lavish and expensive homes in LA, and there is one house in particular fans are interested in. Express.co.uk has seen a teaser for who sold the more than $40million (£32.5m) house, which has been spoken about since season 1.

Who sold the $40 million house on Selling Sunset?

In the first episode fans got a glimpse inside the jaw-dropping house, worth more than $40m, which includes 20,000 square feet of space.

The home has five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a garage which can fit not one, but 15 cars. There are also four hot tubs, an infinity pool, and a huge rooftop deck.

Fans were left in awe of the indoor theatre, spa, wine cellar and plenty of other perks within the luxury pad.

The deal was a hot topic for the agents as whoever sold the property would get a commission worth $1.2m (£979,000).

Season two has just finished airing and in the final episode the Oppenheim brothers hint the house did actually sell.

  • Selling Sunset: Who is Maya Vander’s husband? Inside relationship

The words “still to come” appear on the screen and one of the brothers says in front of the rest of the team: “I just closed on the $44million dollar house.”

Screams erupt from the gang and Chrishell Stause rings a huge gold bell which indicates a major sale has been completed.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the house sold in December 2019 and it closed at a final deal of $35.5m (£29m) – the most expensive sale since 2012.

There is no indication of what agent managed to sell the property, so hopefully this will be unveiled in season three.

A third season has already been given the green light, and fans have already expressed their excitement.

The article in the Los Angeles Times shows stunning photos of the house, which is in Hollywood Hills, on Hillside Avenue.

The story says: “The seller, real estate developer Jeff Thomas, first brought it to market for $43.9 million in August.

“He got plenty of publicity for the home, as it was featured heavily on listing agent Jason Oppenheim’s Netflix show Selling Sunset.”

Jason Oppenheim of The Oppenheim Group held the listing with James Harris and David Parnes of the Agency.

The article then goes on to list the main features of the three-story property, and an atrium garden.

According to CNBC Thomas spent an extra $2m (£1.6m) touching up the home ahead of the final sale – and the process included repaving the street.

Fans have taken to Twitter to express their love for the stunning property, with one fan saying: “The $40million house on Selling Sunset is incredible. Imagine living in that.”

Another fan said: “So after watching Selling Sunset I feel like I could confidently sell a $40 million house and close the deal.”

Producers of the series had hoped the house would be sold for the season one finale, but the agents did not have much luck.

Hopefully, a third season will clear up who made the gigantic sale, and that person will become a millionaire.

  • Selling Sunset Q&A: Jason and Mary on season 3, weddings and clashes

There is plenty of other gossip to look forward to as the series ended with some of the agents discuss whether they have ever considered leaving the group, meaning tensions are definitely high in the workplace.

The hot topic for the third series is the divorce of Chrishell and her husband Justin Hartley, as the rest of the agents found out through news articles.

One fan said on Twitter: “I just spent literally 11 hours of my day watching #SellingSunset and I need season three. The pettiness and drama is unreal.”

Agent Mary Fitzgerald was glad the series was going down a storm. She said on Twitter: “I’m so excited everyone is loving season two so much.

“If you haven’t watched you better get on it, Selling Sunset season three is premiering on August 7.”

Here is a list of episodes from The First Team:

  • Episode 1. Selling Shirts
  • Episode 2. New Friends

  • Episode 5. Pints of Sorry
  • Episode 6. Upheaval

The First Team has been written by The Inbetweeners creative duo Damon Beesley and Iain Morris.

This is the first project which sees the pair reuniting after The Inbetweeners.

Speaking about creating the series, Beesley said they had both wanted to do a comedy set around professional football.

The idea came about many years ago after they’d finished filming the second series of The Inbetweeners.

However, it was Morris’ chance encounter with a Queens Park Rangers player on Transatlantic flight which led to the crystallisation of the idea.

Morris said: “I was a huge football fan, but talking to him about his day to day existence was fascinating and revealed all sorts of things I never knew, and had never even considered.

“One of the main things was that often training can only last about an hour, so for most days they have an extraordinary amount of time on their hands during the day.”

He continued: “I came back and told Damon about it and we discussed making something about footballers, and what it would be like to work in what was an increasingly rare almost all-male environment.

“Then we made the third series of The Inbetweeners, and two films, and Damon made White Gold and we kind of forgot about it.”

Despite coming up with the concept a decade ago, it took them until now to get the idea to the small screen.

The pair cited other projects getting in the way of The First Team before they came back together.

After 'Uncut Gems' Here Are 6 More Movies Where Adam Sandler Gives a Dramatic Performance

Uncut Gems just hit Netflix so millions more people can see Adam Sandler’s breakthrough performance. The film was a hit last fall. Even though it did not net Sandler an Oscar nomination, it did the job of showing fans that Sandler is more than just his comedies. Howard Ratner (Sandler) is a jeweler under immense pressure to flip an opal and make a bet on a basketball game to get out of debt.

RELATED: Is Adam Sandler’s Best Movie Still ‘Billy Madison’?

Sandler has dabbled in drama for the past 20 years and many of his other dramas are worth seeing too. If you like Sandler in Uncut Gems, you might like these other movies as an alternative to Billy Madison or You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.

‘The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)’- Adam Sandler’s prelude to Uncut Gems

Noah Baumbach’s movies have comedic moments but they’re always grounded in reality, as in Sandler can’t just do a funny voice to make you laugh. He plays a loving father in this movie who just has a little trouble with his own father (Dustin Hoffman), an artist who hasn’t always been there for his family.

RELATED: Adam Sandler Net Worth and How He Makes His Money

‘The Cobbler’ – The ‘Uncut Gems’ of shoes?

The Cobbler is technically a comedy too, but again not an extreme one like Sandler’s Happy Madison output. He plays a shoemaker who has the ability to literally walk in other people’s shoes for a bit. It allows Sandler to be a bit more understated while living out these fantasies.

‘Funny People’ – Adam Sandler the serious funnyman

Judd Apatow made a drama about standup comics. Sandler plays George Simmons, a movie star who gets a terminal diagnosis, so does his final sets and re-evaluates his life. The standup is hilarious but the drama stretches Sandler, and he’s not afraid to shake his lovable goofball image which he took even further afield in Uncut Gems

‘Reign Over Me’ – The most serious Adam Sandler

This is actually Sandler’s most dramatic character with no comedy to provide a safety net. He plays Charlie Fineman, a man whose family died in the 9/11 attacks, leaving him traumatized and alone. A chance runin with his old college friend  Alan Johnson (Don Cheadle) gives him a chance to connect again. This sort of traumatic intensity would find greater focus in Uncut Gems.

‘Spanglish’ – ‘Uncut Gems’ as a chef?

James L. Brooks is a master at dramedy. His Terms of Endearment, Broadcast News and As Good As It Gets are landmarks in the genre. Spanglish may not be in their league, but it gave Sandler a chance to try out some new skills. He plays a loving father again, this time a chef who falls for his maid (Paz Vega) when his wife (Tea Leoni) cheats on him.

‘Punch Drunk Love’ – Adam Sandler’s first drama

Paul Thomas Anderson gave Sandler his first chance to do drama, though Anderson would still call this a comedy. It has moments, but also a lot of intensity as Barry Egan (Sandler) navigates work, romance, unsupportive sisters and an extortion racket. Had Anderson and Sandler not taken a chance on each other, Uncut Gems may not exist.

I'm in lockdown with my husband & our girlfriend – we all sleep in one bed & the sex is great… my man's a 'machine'

A COUPLE told how they intend to 'marry' their joint girlfriend of two years in lockdown – on their 17th wedding anniversary.

Stay-at-home husband Jon Kaufman, 45, and midwife wife Melanie Kaufman, 41, plan to tie the knot with shared girlfriend Judy Bame, 36, on May 24 in their back garden.

⚠️ Read our coronavirus live blog for the latest news & updates

The ‘throuple’, who’ve lived together outside Denver, Colorado, for a year-and-a-half, met 11 years ago while playing roller derby and realised they had instant chemistry.

But at the time, marketing manager Judy was with another man.

So it wasn’t until 2018 that they could get together, and they eventually confessed their true feelings.

Now their relationship is strong – and the sex is amazing.

They share a bed, with Jon sleeping in the middle

“The sex is far above average,” said Melanie. “There's more to touch, more to look at, and more sensations to experience. Plus, Jon has to be quite a machine to satisfy two women every time.

“We're also very open with our bodies and our interests, which leads to a very fulfilling sex life.

“We make every reasonable effort to include all three of us every time, but if that's not possible, there's no jealousy as long as it's inside our relationship.

“Some throuples have open relationships, but we're a closed triad and we view ourselves as like a regular couple, just with more people.”

Their relationship became official when Judy – having split with her boyfriend – found herself living back in Colorado and looking Jon and Melanie up in her contacts.

She said: “When we met up after all those years, it was immediately apparent that our feelings were the same that they had always been, only now without complications.

“The transition to a throuple was very natural and organic. This type of relationship happens much like any other with all of the tingles and eager anticipation. Since then, we've been inseparable.”

The sex is far above average. There's more to touch, more to look at, and more sensations to experience.

Melanie’s parents support their relationship, but unfortunately neither Jon or Judy’s do. “It has been very hard to feel like we're choosing between our relationship and our parents,” the pair said.

Meanwhile, friends' reactions have been mixed.

Jon explained: “We have a very supportive friendship group including another throuple.

“However the number of close friends that we keep is very small.

“Other friends we have known for years have become quiet and distant since we've been public about our relationship. None of those old friends have confronted us or been negative, but they don't treat us the same way either.

"We've since curated our friendships to only those that have positive feelings about us as a triad.”

The throuple joked lockdown was an ‘improvement’ to their normal life.

The ladies jointly said: “Jon’s always at home and now his ladies get to spend more time at home as well.”

Jon added: “Judy is on leave for the foreseeable future and stays home with me. Melanie, as a healthcare provider, has had her daily life rocked the hardest. Her schedule changes on a daily basis and she's having to give some prenatal visits over the phone now.

"At one point, Melanie's clinic was closed for two weeks due to two employees testing positive for COVID-19 and she had to work from home, which was a huge change.

“We haven't ventured out of the house too many times, just for groceries and other necessities.

“It also helps that we bought a hot tub right before quarantine, so we've kind of turned our home into its own resort.”

Melanie, Jon and Judy were planning to 'marry' at a hot springs resort in the mountains of Colorado and honeymoon in St Lucia.

“But now, we're scrapping all our plans and having a small backyard wedding instead.”

Unfortunately, as no Western country permits statutory marriage between more than two people, the wedding won’t be legally binding.

“But what we can do is set up our relationship like a business, since there are more legal protections that way,” Melanie said.

Jon has to be quite a machine to satisfy two women every time.

“We won't receive the same innate government privileges and protections as married couples and will have to take extra steps to legally safeguard our relationship.

“When we first defined our relationship in the summer of 2018, we felt like we were in uncharted territory and would often wonder, ‘Are they looking at us?’ when we went out together.

“But seeeing other throuples, quads, and all the possible polyamorous combinations representing themselves online really helped reassure us that while we're different, we're also valid.

“Growing up with monogamy as the only option, it has taken self-growth to unlearn those old restrictions, but doing so has led to an amazing experience.

“Going from a monogamous relationship to a throuple is incredibly rewarding, but also requires extra effort and attention.

“We get many questions from people interested in opening up their marriage.

"What you need to know is that everything is exponentially multiplied with each person you add to the relationship. You have more people to care for you, and also to care for.

“It requires a constant stream of love and communication for everyone involved. Polyamory/polygamy isn't for everyone, but it is a valid lifestyle and one that can be overwhelmingly amazing.”

These three aren't the only racy lot…. meet the couple who won’t stop swinging now they are married – and even enjoyed a four-way sex session on their honeymoon.

In more sex news a woman claims she has sex with ELVES… and they know exactly what you want in bed without asking.

And a great-granny, 91, gushes about her "wonderful" sex life with a 31-year-old toyboy.

White Lines season 2 theories: Major death ‘sealed’ in Calafat family revenge plot

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

From the creator of Money Heist, Alex Pina’s latest crime drama White Lines became one on Netflix’s most-streamed titles in May as fans witnessed the mystery of who killed DJ Axel Collins (played by Tom Rhys Harries) unfold. It wasn’t until the action-packed finale that his killer was finally unveiled but the big reveal hasn’t stopped theories emerging about the second season of the Ibiza-based drama.

WARNING: This article contains major spoilers from White Lines.

Over the course of 10 episodes, Axel’s sister Zoe (Laura Haddock) went to extreme lengths to try and find out once and for all what happened to her brother.

During her investigation, she reacquainted herself with Axel’s hometown pals Marcus (Daniel Mays) and Anna (Angela Griffin) as well as meeting nightclub bouncer Boxer (Nuno Lopes) and her brother’s ex Kika Califat (Marta Milans).

Little did Zoe know the web of lies and hectic lives Axel’s social circle had made for themselves over the years and quickly discovered secret after secret about them all.

The most shocking revelation of all came in the finale, however, as Zoe discovered the true part Anna and Marcus played in her brother’s demise.

  • White Lines season 2 theories: Marcus’ death ‘sealed’ in huge clue

Told through a flashback, Anna had drowned Axel in a swimming pool when he revealed he’d burnt of the gang’s money.

Anna enlisted Marcus’ help to take Axel’s body away only for the DJ to miraculous regain consciousness and burst out of the car.

Marcus tried to run Axel over with his car but it was to no avail, leading to Anna plunging a screwdriver into his back to finish the job.

While the discovery shook Zoe to her core, there was little that could be done as Spanish law dictates an arrest can’t be made 20 years after the crime.

As such, Anna and Marcus escaped the first season of White Lines as free citizens, the former marrying George (Paulo Pires) and the latter becoming a part of the Calafat’s business.

Marcus and the Calafat’s head honcho Andreu (Pedro Casablanc) had grown rather pally over the course of the series and with Boxer resigning from his security duties for the family, a vacancy close to them arose.

But could Marcus’ newfound involvement with the Calafat’s family business lead to a major death in season two? Here’s the theory.

Andreu had been at war with a rival family, the Martinez’, throughout the series with his son Oriol (Juan Diego Botto) deafening Cristobal Martinez (Agus Ruiz) and Andreu being crippled in a planned car crash as in retaliation.

The tensions between the two families were still sky-high in the final moments of the series as Marcus revealed there was a chance to take the opposing family out of the picture when it came to Ibiza’s drug scene.

Marcus asked him: “Do you want to deal with Pepe Martinez, once and for all?”

The DJ and drug dealer then explained that he and Andreu could work together to source drugs from elsewhere and overpower the Martinez family and the lingering Romanians.

Andreu tells Marcus he is “not a drug-dealer” in a moment of hesitation but Marcus assures him he is and could take care of this.

White Lines season 2 theories: Anna arrested after daughter betrayal?
White Lines season 2 theories: Marcus’ death ‘sealed’ in huge clue

  • White Lines cast: Who plays Kika Calafat in White Lines?

Due to his part in Axel’s death, Marcus is also not scared of killing in order to get his way.

If he and Andreu team up in season two and go against the Martinez family, Marcus could take drastic measures to ensure the Calfat business comes out on top.

Could he end up killing Pepe Martinez in order for Andreu to rule over Ibiza’s drug scene?

Or could he even take aim at his son Cristobal who’ll undoubtedly seek revenge on the Calafats for his eardrum-bursting ordeal?

White Lines is available to stream on Netflix now.

Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock reveals he’s had a pacemaker fitted as he thanks Paul Merson for alcohol row on Harry’s Heroes – The Sun

NEIL ‘RAZOR’ RUDDOCK has revealed he's had a pacemaker fitted after his explosive row with Paul Merson on Harry’s Heroes.

Merson told Ruddock his drinking was “out of control” on the popular TV show, with the ex-Liverpool star lashing out angrily in response.

They kissed and made up later during a tearful talk where Ruddock apologised for his behaviour.

And the ex-footy star has now thanked Merson for his intervention, admitting he was in a “bad” way.

Ruddock also revealed he has since been fitted with a pacemaker and praised Merson for having the “balls” to stand up and tell the truth to his face.

Speaking to Merson on Instagram Live, Ruddock said: “We had a lovers tiff and I know the way you are you’d be sitting back going ‘Oh I shouldn’t have done anything’.

“But looking back I want to thank you for pulling me up and having a go at me.

“Since the dust has settled I’ve realised you did it because you care, you care about me.

“I admire you for having the balls to do it, not many people would have had the balls to do it.

“I didn’t realise how bad I was, my heart was.

“And since the show I’ve been fitted with a pacemaker.

“I know the way you are, I don’t want you panicking thinking you shouldn’t have got involved.

“But I’d like to thank you for doing that mate.”

Merson responded: “Thanks, getting into your business I felt a bit bad.

“But then I thought no you’re my mate, I care for you.

“I took a chance, I was with Dave Seaman and Mark Wright and thought they’ll stand up.

“I was worried, I was like woah. They were tucking into their croissants. I thought: 'I’m in trouble'.

“We’ve known each other since we were 16. I was in that position a year before, it’s hard.

“I felt like I had to say something. I’m glad I did.”

Bill Turnbull, 64, says he has thought ‘a great deal about death’ after cancer diagnosis

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

The former BBC Breakfast presenter, 64, has been living with prostate cancer since 2018. It has spread to his bones, but late last year the father of three said he has a “fair old time to live”. Bill is urging people to get their affairs in order to leave less burden on families. He said: “You are talking to someone who has an incurable disease, so sooner or later it is going to come and get me. Later rather than sooner hopefully.

“I have thought a great deal about death since I was diagnosed with cancer because he is there – you know, the fella with the hood over his head and the scythe. He is waiting and that is fine.

“I have developed quite a healthy relationship with death. I feel very calm about it because I have given it a lot of thought.

So there is no way I am going to imagine I can live forever, nor would I really want to.

“And in the circumstance, I am giving serious consideration to what sort of music I would want played at my funeral, whether I want to be buried or cremated, the funeral plan, all that sort of thing.”

Bill, who quit BBC Breakfast in 2016, works as a presenter for the radio station Classic FM.

He also spoke last month about plans to return to Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna Reid when regular co-host Piers Morgan is on leave in the coming months.

Bill has undergone numerous rounds of chemotherapy since his cancer diagnosis and has received injections of radioactive substance radium 223.

Turning to alternative treatments, he has also tried a different diet, cutting out most meats and dairy products.
