B&M is selling Slush Puppies for 89p and shoppers are saying they are perfect for cocktails

CALLING all Slush Puppie fans! B&M is selling squeezy pouches of the drink for just 89p, and they look perfect for cocktails.

A woman spotted the purse-friendly deal and took to Facebook to share the news.

Writing on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she said: “Spotted this Slush Puppie pouch in B&M for only 89p and I can't wait to try it out later.”

In other words, you no longer have to wait until you're at the cinema or down the local bowling alley to get your nostalgic slush puppie fix.

The pouch in the photo was the blue raspberry photo, and has racked up thousands of comments from fans of the colourful drink.

One person said: “They’re great with some vodka added to them!”

Another raved: “These are delicious.”

And to take things to the next level, B&M has rolled out Slush Puppie machines for just £35, and it creates up to 1.1litres of the cooling drink in one go.

Better still, the machine allows you to tailor your ice preference which is perfect if you prefer your slush puppie to be on the chunkier side.

The bargain Slush Puppie finds will no doubt go down well with people making their own Slushie cocktails during lockdown.

We shared how a man shared his recipe for “Slushie cocktails with a kick” at home.

He uploaded a photo of his tasty-looking purple drinks, which he said were created with raspberry shots and vodka.

He wrote: “Raspberry sours x four shots, Cherry sours x two shots, Blue Curacao x two shots,  Vodka x six shots into a blender with ice and lemonade.

“Call it what you want slushies with a kick.”

His boozy recipe appears to make at least two pint-sized drinks, and seems to have gone down well with those stuck in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

One said: “these are on the agenda”, and another said: “these sound amazing!!!”

They aren’t the only homemade cocktails causing a stir on social media during the self-isolation period.

People have been making Vimto cocktails using a few ingredients and they look absolutely delicious.

All you need to nail the tasty-looking drink is Smirnoff, WKD Dark Fruits and Cherryade.

Please drink responsibly and be Drinkaware.

Ever wondered why raspberry Slush Puppies are blue? There’s actually a very simple reason for it.

Skittles, Drumsticks and Parma Violets… how you can now get cocktails made from your favourite sweets.

Who is 'Blue Bloods' Actor Andrew Terraciano?

Blue Bloods is one of the most popular shows on television, and for good reason — the cop drama is family-focused and realistic, including many references to actual police procedures. The show debuted in 2010 and has a large, passionate following. In spite of the fact that Blue Bloods is currently on filming hiatus due to the pandemic, fans are still eager to learn everything that they can about the beloved show, and the actors who bring the characters to life.

What is Blue Bloods about?

Cousin by day, co-pilot by night.

A post shared by Andrew Terraciano (@andrew.terraciano) on

Blue Bloods might look like a standard police procedural drama, but it actually has several very distinct elements that have served to make the show a smashing success. It focuses on the Reagans, an Irish Catholic family living in New York City, with deep-rooted ties to the law enforcement community. Every episode, the family members have to deal with personal and professional conflicts, all while staying true to their heritage and familial commitments.

The family is headed by Frank Reagan, played by screen legend Tom Selleck. Other stars on the series include Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Danny Reagan, Bridget Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan, Will Estes as Jamie Reagan, and supporting actors such as Sami Gayle and Vanessa Ray. Over the years, Blue Bloods has been nominated for and won a slew of awards, and been critically recognized for its attention to detail — however, for fans, it all comes back to the characters, including the actors who embody the younger generation of the Reagan family dynasty.

Who does Andrew Terraciano play on Blue Bloods?

Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, is the oldest surviving son of Frank Reagan. He is a dedicated police officer who continuously tries to give his all, whether it be at work or at home. Although Danny and his father frequently butt heads, at the end of the day, they always manage to come together in agreement over what is best for the family.

Danny has two sons with his wife, Linda Reagan — Jack and Sean. Sean Reagan is the youngest of the two, and when Blue Bloods debuted in 2010, he was seven years old. From the very first episode until now, Sean has been portrayed by the talented young actor Andrew Terraciano. Terraciano is a child actor who has been in the entertainment industry since he was six years old. Blue Bloods was his very first high-profile role, and in recent years, the young star has appeared in other projects, including the film Rogue Assistant, according to IMDb.

Andrew Terraciano stars with his brother on Blue Bloods

Blue Bloods is known for keeping it all in the family — therefore, it is only fitting that Andrew Terraciano maintains an important familial connection even while on the set. In fact, the young actor who plays Jack Reagan, the oldest son of Danny Reagan, is Tony Terraciano, Andrew’s older brother. The two have co-starred together from the very beginning, and have virtually grown up on-camera.

Although their lives might seem extraordinary, to the Terraciano brothers, they are just like other young people. In a 2016 interview with Country Living, Andrew Terraciano admitted that “me and my friends we really all do the same things except I’m out once a week and I just have to kind of catch up on homework.” In future seasons of Blue Bloods, fans might begin to see a bit less of the brothers, considering that Jack Reagan just started going to college. Still, they will always be an important part of the Blue Bloods family, and beloved pieces of the show’s history.

Scott Disick Is ‘Always Flirting’ With 'Best Friend' Kourtney Kardashian

Best friends or something more? Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick spent time with their kids in Utah to celebrate his 37th birthday and he was thrilled about the group outing, a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.

“Kourtney and Scott had so much fun with the kids in Utah, and the kids want them to do family trips all together more often,” an insider says. “Scott is so happy that he and Kourtney get along so well and how easy it is with her. It’s weird to everyone else, but not to them. They are really like best friends.”

Kardashian, 41, and Disick share three kids: Mason, 10, Penelope, 7, and Reign, 5. The exes had an on-off relationship from 2006 to 2015 before calling it quits for good. However, they have remained close, always putting their children first and supporting one another through everything — even the Flip It Like Disick‘s star latest split from Sofia Richie. Us confirmed on Wednesday, May 27, that the duo had called it quits after nearly three years together.

The Poosh founder and Disick’s relationship has always been unique and still is today.

“Kourtney is not open to him in a romantic sense, but Scott is always flirting with her and thinks she looks better than ever,” the source notes. “The family also loves him and he’s like another son to Kris [Jenner].”

Although Richie, 21, and Disick have not spoken out about their split publicly, one of the lingering reasons for their breakup was his feelings for his ex, another insider shared with Us.

“Scott is always going to be in love with Kourtney, and that’s something Sofia has had to face since even before she got serious with him,” the source said at the time. “It’s been an ongoing thing. It just became more apparent that his family was more of a priority than she was, and his family would be his main priority over anything and anyone.”

However, for now, he is focused on being his best self, something the Kardashian family is encouraging him to do. “He’s taking it day to day” following his recent stint in rehab, the first source said. The Talentless designer entered a treatment center in Colorado in early May but left hours later when photos of him were leaked online.

Where Is 'Making the Cut' Runner-Up Esther Perbrandt Now?

You might recognize Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum from their hit fashion competition show, Project Runway. But in 2020, Gunn and Klum started an entirely new fashion competition show together named Making the Cut which premiered on Amazon Prime TV in March. The show follows talented fashion designers as they fly around the world to places like Tokyo, competing in reality TV show competitions along the way.

Making the Cut is different and, arguably, better than Project Runway in many ways, and one of the star examples of that “difference” was the presence of Berlin designer Esther Perbrandt, whose uniqueness fans loved so much that she ended up being the runner-up of the entire competition.

So what made Perbrandt so different from her competition, and what has she been up to these days?

Esther Perbrandt was a unique contestant

Perbrandt immediately stood out on the show for her minimalist, all-black fashion. Her clothes have a very distinct look which she has described as “too rock and roll” for Paris and “too chic” for Berlin.

Fans fell in love with her authentic style and her unwillingness to change her identity for the show. She was the “all-black” designer through and through; “Black is endless, timeless, positive, and healthy. It makes people beautiful and lets them glow,” she stated for Interview Magazine.

Despite her unique style, Perbrandt made it to the very last round of the show, where she competed and lost against designer Jonny Cota, whose clothes were thought to be more commercial. The final competition wasn’t unanimous, though: Cota only won by a 3-to-2 vote.

Perbrandt was born and raised in Berlin, which really shines through in her all-black aesthetic. She also did a three-month fashion internship in Moscow, a time that she credits for her current look. It’s clear that Perbrandt was influenced by a lot of different time periods in her life to make her into the designer she is today.

Perbrandt refused to change for the show

When asked by Reality Blurred reporter Andy Dehnart if she felt like the judges tried to change her for the show, Perbrandt replied honestly: “I think they really tried. I was expecting that. When I knew that I will be one of the participants, I knew this would be a big issue, my black. I tried really hard and that was really tiring for me in each session with the judges to fight again for my universe.”

At the same time, Perbrandt says that she actually feels grateful for needing to defend her style and voice time after time to the judges.

“[T]hat made me so strong, and by standing there again and again and fighting for it, made it so much stronger—stronger, I think, than it was before,” she told Reality Blurred, adding: “It was really good school, and yeah I’m thankful for all their really hard critiques.”

What has Perbrandt been up to since the show ended?

Basically, Perbrandt reports to Reality Blurred that since the show stopped filming last year, she has mainly been working hard on gearing up for the explosion of fame and media attention for her brand that she expected to come once Making the Cut was released. It seems that she’s been focusing more on the business aspect of things and creating a website, Instagram, and SEO strategy for her brand.

She states that moving forward, she’s not completely unwilling to change her aesthetic: “The market is changing, the world is changing; if I don’t change myself and my brand, I will have to close one day,” she admits.

Fans can only hope that Perbrandt doesn’t change the aesthetic that they love too much!

Netflix’s Space Force: Why is General Naird’s wife Maggie in prison? – The Sun

SPACE Force is Netflix's new sitcom based on Donald Trump's idea for an interstellar military branch. The comedy, which debuted on May 29 on Netflix, sees Steve Carrell plays General Mark R. Naird, a pilot given the job of leading the new branch of the US Armed Forces.

  • The best series on Netflix
  • The best films on Netflix

Viewers have been left with many questions about the series, but the most pressing is why General Naird's wife Maggie, played by Lisa Kudrow, is in prison.

Why is General Naird’s wife Maggie in prison?

The show begins with General Mark R. Naird, played by Carrell, wife Maggie Naird (Lisa Kudrow) and daughter Erin (Diana Silvers) in Washington D.C.

The action — and mystery — begins when Mark tells Maggie the family must move to Colorado for his new role at Space Force.

Maggie is not happy about the move, and this is the last we see of her outside of jail.

The series jumps forward a year, and the family is now in Colorado.

Maggie's crime, however, remains a mystery. Viewers have been left to speculate what it is that landed her in prison.

At one point, it was revealed Maggie committed a "very serious" crime and would be banged up for 40 to 60 years.

Some viewers have speculated this length of sentence would suggest a drug crime or murder.

Many believe her crime might be a result of the family's unexpected move to Colorado, given her adverse reaction to the news.

The end of the season sees Maggie break out of prison with the help of her lover, a prison guard named Louise Papeleo (Carolyn Wilson). She is saved by General Naird, and the family is briefly reunited.

A season two has not been confirmed by the producers, but if it goes ahead the questions surrounding Maggie's incarceration may be answered.

The Wrap asked Space Force co-creator Greg Daniels about the unanswered mystery.

Love Is Blind's Kelly cries through apology over George Floyd comments

Love Is Blind’s Kelly Chase cried throughout an apology video addressing her ‘ignorant’ comments following the death of George Floyd and the protests that have swept the globe.

The star of the Netflix dating show came under fire by fans and fellow cast mate Carlton Morton after she condemned people taking to the streets seeking justice after George died when a white officer held him down by pressing a knee into his neck last Monday in Minneapolis.

Kelly also used the derogatory term ‘coloured people’ and posted about All Lives Matter.

‘I created pain and used words that were offensive and I meant no ill-intent from what I shared in my Instagram story today,’ Kelly began.

‘I was trying to create impact and it backfired,’ she tearfully told the camera. ‘I want to take this time to acknowledge my wrongdoings.

‘I want to take accountability and acknowledge what was done today.

‘I used the terms coloured people and All Lives Matter and I realise how ignorant that was, how uneducated I am and I’m really, truly sorry for the pain that I caused today because I realise that there are people hurting because of what happened with George Floyd and every other black person who is scared.’

Kelly also revealed that she’d reached out to Carlton to apologise directly.

‘It was definitely coming from a place of love and that I am truly, truly sorry,’ she said. ‘I never meant to offend you, hurt you, hurt anyone from the black community.

‘I am just very, very sorry. I am educating myself on what I can do to help.’

Protests have been held across the world in response to the killing of George by police and there are many peaceful marches planned in central London.

There are many ways you can support the movement – from signing a petition, to donating directly.

You can donate directly via the Black Lives Matter website.

Love Is Blind is available to stream on Netflix.

IF you're in need of a refreshing summer tipple then Kopparberg may have the perfect thing.

The cider and spirits maker has launched a passionfruit and orange gin – available in Tesco.

As well as fruity flavours the gin is infused with botanicals of juniper, lemon zest and coriander.

Even better, the tropical tipple is on mark down, meaning you can pick up a 70cl bottle for just £18.

Usually, the gin costs £20 so you're making a saving of 10 per cent.

The passionfruit and orange liqueur is available both in Tesco stores and online.

Kopparberg says it is best mixed with lemonade or tonic and served over mountains of ice with a slice of orange for the ultimate summer drink.

The cider producer first entered the spirits market with Strawberry & Lime gin, which was launched in May 2019.

There's also a mixed fruit gin, but that is slightly more expensive at the original price of £20 for 70cl.

Who is Akshata Murthy? Rishi Sunak’s wife and daughter of billionaire N. R. Narayana Murthy – The Sun

AKSHATA Murthy is wife to UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak.

Rishi Sunak and Akshata married back in 2009.  She is also the daughter of Indian billionaire N.R Narayana Murthy – and believes we "live in a materialistic society". Here's what else we know about her family life.

Who is Rishi Sunak wife Akshata Murthy?

Rishi Sunak, 40, tied the knot with Akshata Murthy in 2009, in a two-day wedding in Bangalore, after the pair met at Stanford University.

The couple have two daughters, Krishna and Anoushka.

Ms Murthy runs fashion label Akshata Designs and is also a director of a venture capital firm founded by her dad in 2010.

She is the daughter of the sixth richest man in India, billionaire N.R Narayana Murthy, who is co-founder of Infosys, an IT company.

The Times of India says her father is "one of India's top entrepreneurs".

Akshata used to work in finance and marketing.

But she turned to fashion design, working with artists in isolated villages in India.

Akshata loved clothes as a child – a penchant that baffled her "no-nonsense engineer mother".

She told Vogue India in 2011: "I'm about the story behind a particular garment, its authenticity, craftsmanship and protecting a rich heritage."

Akshata was also quoted saying: "I believe we live in a materialistic society, and over the last few decades it has become easier to sell products to a wide audience, given the advent of globilisation."

The Times reported in February 2020 that she has a stake in her dad's IT firm that is reportedly worth £185million.

The couple are understood to own "at least four properties", the publication says, including a five-bedroom mews house in Kensington, valued at about £7million.

Julianne Hough is into Brooks Laich’s ‘awesome’ thirst traps

Perhaps distance really does make the heart grow fonder.

Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich are quarantining separately, prompting her to gush publicly over her husband’s self-described “over the top and ridiculous” thirst traps, which were snapped as a challenge for his podcast.

“This is awesome haha 🤣🔥 also the fact that you just figured out what a thirst trap is… 🤣,” she commented beneath his shirtless photos, which show off his chiseled abs.

“@juleshough you know how i do (5 years late)….. 😂😂🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️” he responded.

Laich, 36, has been isolating in Idaho while Hough, 31, remains in Los Angeles. The “Dancing With the Stars” pro previously described their separation as “magical” amid rumors there’s trouble in paradise.

“I’ve been on my own. My husband is in Idaho doing lots of yard work,” she said during an Instagram Live for Oprah magazine in April, “and so we’re kind of doing our separate things right now, but it’s really been a magical time.”

Kate Middleton Is Giving Her Kids At-Home Haircuts with the Help of Her Nanny Maria

Much like the rest of us, the royal family hasn’t had access to a professional haircut in months—and apparently Kate Middleton’s taken matters into her own hands. The Duchess is currently self-isolating at her country home in Norfolk with a “scaled back household staff,” and a source tells The Sun that she’s giving her kids haircuts. In fact, Kate has apparently been super good at cutting hair this whole time.

George, Charlotte, and Louis usually have their hair cut at Kensington Palace by Kate’s stylist Richard Ward, and since she has a pair of his scissors lying around, stepping up has been no bigs. Per the source, “Kate is able to trim all the children’s hair because she has this professional kit at home, including scissors, from Richard.”

Meanwhile, the source says “Kate would get Maria to do her hair during the lockdown. But it has only had a little trim so far. Kate does use a home colour on it from Richard. She would normally be given products from his salon between her appointments with him but for this lockdown ‘the package was rather larger than usual.’”

Cool, I’ll just be here cutting my own bangs with literally no supervision.
