Kate Middleton Is Giving Her Kids At-Home Haircuts with the Help of Her Nanny Maria

Much like the rest of us, the royal family hasn’t had access to a professional haircut in months—and apparently Kate Middleton’s taken matters into her own hands. The Duchess is currently self-isolating at her country home in Norfolk with a “scaled back household staff,” and a source tells The Sun that she’s giving her kids haircuts. In fact, Kate has apparently been super good at cutting hair this whole time.

George, Charlotte, and Louis usually have their hair cut at Kensington Palace by Kate’s stylist Richard Ward, and since she has a pair of his scissors lying around, stepping up has been no bigs. Per the source, “Kate is able to trim all the children’s hair because she has this professional kit at home, including scissors, from Richard.”

Meanwhile, the source says “Kate would get Maria to do her hair during the lockdown. But it has only had a little trim so far. Kate does use a home colour on it from Richard. She would normally be given products from his salon between her appointments with him but for this lockdown ‘the package was rather larger than usual.’”

Cool, I’ll just be here cutting my own bangs with literally no supervision.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Always Ate the Exact Same Meal For Breakfast In College

Prince William and Kate Middleton met during college, which is where their love first flourished. They were best friends before they started dating; they spent plenty of time together, including eating most of their meals. In fact, William first asked Kate to join him in the dining hall when the two were just getting to know each other. And it turns out they both ate the exact same meal for breakfast each day.

Prince William and Kate Middleton met in college

William and Kate have known each other since they were 18.The two met at University of St. Andrews back in 2001, and they instantlybecame friends. They were both living in the same dorm (known as “Sally’s”),and by the end of the first week of school, everybody knew Kate’s name — shewas dubbed the prettiest girl in the dormitory. William and Kate startedspending more time together, though they were dating other people when thefirst became friends.

After William saw Kate walk in a campus fashion show, his opinion of her changed. He started seeing her as someone more than a friend. At a party after the show, William decided to make his move. The two started dating shortly after, and they ended up dating for nearly nine years (with a couple of breakups in between) before marrying in 2011.

For those who aren’t familiar with muesli, it is typically packed, rolled oats paired with corn flakes and dried fruit — similar to granola, but with less sugar. They replayed the I'm A Celebrity star's video from outside her house as she paid tribute to those fighting to save her 52-year-old husband Derek Draper's life.

He has been in intensive care for two months after falling into a coma and becoming unresponsive.

Ben and Charlotte told how they are "praying" Derek "will pull through" as they updated viewers on his condition.

Heartbroken Kate this week said her "heart sinks" every day as Derek is forced to face "new battles" that coronavirus brings.

After reading out Kate's latest message abut Derek, Ben added: "She also wanted to thank everyone for their extraordinary messages.

"She does enjoy reading them in the quieter moments when she gets a chance.

Ben's co-host Charlotte added:"She's still going through such an awful time.

"Our hearts go out to her and her family through everything she is going through.

"It is nice to see she had a smile on her face. Everyone has got their fingers crossed and sending so much love.

"They are all in our prayers and so we are just hoping Derek will pull through."

On Thursday Kate paid tribute to her daughter Darcey, 14, and son Billy, 10, for their strength.

She wrote: "I couldn’t be prouder of how she & Billy have coped with these past 2 horrific months for our family – always finding ways of lifting our spirits & staying strong even when they can see me wobbling.

"Its so wonderful to see little green shoots of hope that this dreadful disease is easing and that hopefully soon we might all be able to see each other again and hug our nearest and dearest.

"But the journey for me and my family seems to be far from over as everyday my heart sinks as I learn new & devastating ways this virus has more battles for Derek to fight.

"But he is still HERE & so there is still hope. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who will be affected by this, not just for the next few weeks but for the foreseeable future.

"That will be the case for many who have suffered from the disease, but also the front line workers who have been helping to treat the worst affected. The physical and mental scars will run deep and so we need to stick together far beyond the end of lockdown."

Referring to her website, she added: "Thank you so much for all your messages. I am going to share more of the things that have been keeping me going on clubgarraway.com.

Leah Kate Supports Listening To Your Heart Even Though It’s A ‘Bad Idea’ On New Dance Pop Song

Sometimes, a ‘bad idea’ can be a lot of ‘fun.’ Leah Kate gives in and seizes the moment on her new bop, which she says is all about giving yourself the chance to ‘learn and grow.’

Is there a good lesson behind every “bad” decision? Such a profound philosophical question is put against an irresistible dance beat in “bad idea,” the new song from Leah Kate, premiering here on HollywoodLife. “You drop me off in the darkness / we stand in my doorway / what are we doing?” ponders Leah on the song, eager to shed “all my fear” before inviting them in, even though she knows this person is a “bad idea.” The song itself is an enticing slice of synth-dance pop, and if Leah’s voice is the sound of temptation, how could anyone not give in?

In less than three minutes, “bad idea” establishes itself as the song that’ll play on on the radio during every late-night cab ride with a beautiful stranger, the soundtrack whenever someone chooses “dare” instead of “truth.” It’s the sound of taking a chance, even though the odds aren’t in your favor. No risk, no reward, right? This attitude is easily captured in the lyric video, shot by Leah herself (she taught herself all the skills needed to make the video while under quarantine. She’s been making use of the time by taking classes to help her creative work, which she does along with her brother — who helps produce her work.)

“When I wrote ‘bad idea,’ I was in the early stages of seeing someone and was having a real internal conflict about the whole situation,” Leah shares with HollywoodLife. “I knew it wasn’t the smartest choice to pursue this person, and I was worried it would end poorly given the nature of our relationship. Part of me thought that it would be better in the end if I did not proceed with it. Despite my mind telling me to do one thing (avoid the situation at all costs), my heart was telling me to do another – pursue him. I liked him! We all have imperfections and can have distorted thinking caused by love or desire, and that’s okay.”

“This internal conflict is real, it is normal, and it is something we all find ourselves needing to address at some point. Sometimes doing something that seems like a bad idea can be exhilarating and fun, and it ultimately helps us to learn about ourselves and grow. I want my listeners to feel a sense of comfort when they may be in a similar situation… to know that they’re not alone, and can bring a little light to the situation.”

Leah’s message is simple: don’t overthink things. While by no means does “bad idea” encourage listeners to live recklessly and put themselves in harm, Leah says the message behind the track is to be willing to put faith in your instinct. “I am a big advocate of following your gut and listening to your heart. Whether someone is making a choice about what job to take, what to say to someone, if they should move to another city or not, or a romantic situation like mine – this internal conflict extends beyond making bad choices with just lovers. Look for the light and the lesson when making any choice, and lean in when your gut tells you to. Living and learning is fun.”

Born and raised in the City of Angels, Leah has lived and learned through her own “bad ideas” to the start of a successful music career. Her tracks have been featured on shows like The Bold Type and The Hills: New Beginnings. She has also appeared on your favorite Spotify playlist, including New Music Frida, Teen Party, Friday Cratediggers, Pop Rising, and Dance Rising.

So, what’s one of Leah’s “bad ideas” that turned out good? “The best example is my move to NYC,” she shares with HollywoodLife. “My parents didn’t want me to go, so they didn’t have the best things to say about it. Of course, all of my friends wanted me to stay, and everyone told me NYC sucks. My parents were like, ‘you’re on your own if you wanna do that…things are tough out there!’ I was so scared, but I just took a leap of faith and booked a one-way ticket and went for it. It was the best decision of my life. “

“bad idea” is out now.

Kate Middleton supports High Street stalwarts and British labels

Kate Middleton’s boost for British brands: Duchess champions high street stalwarts and independent labels for her lockdown video calls

  • Kate Middleton, 38, has supported British brands during coronavirus lockdown
  • Duchess has worn outfits from independent labels and High Street stalwarts
  • Included a jumper from friend Tabitha Webb’s label and a dress from Ghost
  • Stylist revealed how move is ‘poignant’ because British fashion is struggling
  • Susie Hasler said message was ‘if the future queen can wear it, you should too’
  • Here’s how to help people impacted by Covid-19

The Duchess of Cambridge has been flying the flag for British brands by opting for High Street stalwarts and independent labels for her virtual visits during the coronavirus pandemic.

And now stylists have revealed how Kate Middleton’s, 38, lockdown wardrobe is not only impeccably stylish and practical, but as a way of showing her dedication to her royal duties.

Yesterday, Kate selected a £495 pretty yellow silk dress from Raey for an interview with This Morning as she launched a photography project Hold Still.

Speaking to FEMAIL, stylist Susie Hasler, who runs Styled By Susie  said the move was particularly poignant because of the strain on the industry amid the pandemic.

Stylist Susie Hasler, who runs Styled by Susie, told FEMAIL how Kate Middleton, 38, has been flying the flag for British brads on virtual calls

Susie revealed: ‘Kate flying the flag for British brands on her virtual calls throughout lockdown is incredibly significant.

‘At a time when our clothing industry is being hit hard – with stores such as Warehouse and Oasis collapsing – the Duchess is showing her support for our country and economy.’

Susie said that Kate had a clear message with her outfit choices during the lockdown, saying: ‘By choosing to wear outfits from home-made brands, she is supporting, and putting her weight behind, an industry which is currently struggling.

‘The message is that if these brands are good enough for the future queen to wear, it’s time for everyone else to follow suit and champion British-made too.’

The stylist said the Duchess has taken to wearing ‘relatable’ clothing from High Street stalwarts and independent labels during lockdown (pictured, wearing a dress from Ghost)

Meanwhile Susie went on to say the clothing was particularly ‘relatable’, with the Duchess tending to opt for pieces that fitted into her busy schedule as a working mother.

She explained: ‘It’s showing that solidarity towards British brands, and she’s wearing styles that are relatable – the type of clothes mums and women up and down the country can wear.’

The Duchess launched the community photography project Hold Still with the National portrait Gallery today, with the campaign designed to catch the ‘spirit, mood, hopes and fears’ of the nation.

The mother-of-three, who is currently isolating with her husband Prince William, 37, and their children, George, six, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two, in Anmer Hall in Norfolk, selected a pretty yellow floral dress from Raey and opted for her usual glamorous bouncy blow dry to speak about the project in an interview with This Morning today.

Meanwhile the royal has also been supported labels local to her, including family friend Tabitha Webb’s brand (pictured, in a jumper by the company)

While it marks the first time the Duchess has worn the brand, their flagship store is in Notting Hill, just a stone’s throw from her London home of Kensington Palace.

And when the royal spent time on a virtual visit to a maternity ward in Kingston, she opted for two British brands.

The mother-of-three supported a family friend Tabitha Webb by opting for a 70s inspired chevron jumper by her brand as she chatted with midwives and new mothers on the virtual call last week.

The royal selected a jazzy baby blue £275 jumper by British designer Tabitha Ward as she took part in the video call.

Susie revealed how Kate was opting for British brands to lend support to struggling industries amid the coronavirus pandemic

The Duchess opted for the pretty floral wrap dress for the virtual visit, which is described online as ‘boho luxe’ in style

The royal has showcased Tabitha’s designs on several occasions, most recently in January during her Five Questions survey, with the designer a close friend of her sister Pippa, 36.

Meanwhile in another clip of the call,  she elected a £120 baby blue wrap dress from quintessentially British brand Boden as she took part in the video call.

At the end of the month, she opted for a blue £129 floral dress from British high street stalwart Ghost as she stepped out of her home at Anmer Hall for Clap for Carers.

She wore the Anouk Dress, which features fabric-covered buttons all the way down and romantic ruffles along the collar and hem,  for the occasion.

Other items the Duchess has worn during the coronavirus lockdown have included her emerald green jumper from independent clothing brand Really Wild

And on the one occasion Kate opted for a none-British brand, wearing a mustard yellow top from Zara, she selected pair of Catherine Zoraida earrings

The brand have now revealed how all online proceeds from sales of the now sold-out dress will go to NHS charities in order to help in the fight against coronavirus.

Days earlier, she donned independent brand Really Wild’s Long Crewneck Jumper in emerald green as she and Prince William chaired a virtual roundtable with a mental health charity.

Her first virtual visit, which saw Kate speaking to school children in Burnley over Zoom alongside her husband Prince William, 37, was the only engagement in which she hasn’t worn a British designer.

Instead, the royal opted for a relaxed, mustard yellow top from Zara which comes with a pricetag of £30.

On her final royal engagement ahead of lockdown, the Duchess opted for a blush pink suit from Marks and Spencer

However she maintained her commitment to British brands by selecting jewellery  from designer Catherine Zoraida.

The royal opted for gold fern leaf earrings from the British brand, which come with a pricetag of £165.

On her final royal engagement at the end of March ahead of Boris Johnson’s lockdown announcement, Kate opted for a blush pink Marks and Spencer suit.

The mother-of-three stepped out in a blush blazer and matching trousers from Marks & Spencer to meet NHS staff at call centre in Croydon, south-west London, on 23rd March.

Kate Middleton’s So-Called ‘Casual Looks’ Are a Far Cry From Sweatpants

So many royal fans celebrate Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge for being so down-to-earth and relatable. Part of this stems from the fact that unlike so many other royals, the Duchess of Cambridge hails from a regular middle-class family and was not raised amongst the high society circles. Her engagement to Prince William was actually a bit of a scandal because some old-school rules followers didn’t believe a commoner should become the queen consort.

But even the haters have come around on Kate, who continuesto prove she has all the poise and sophistication of any blue-blooded aristocrat. And royal fans can’t help but notice that even when Kate is dressed down and casual, she still looksabsolutely polished.

Kate Middleton’s fashion sense has come a long way

These days Kate’s become a fashion icon in her own right with thousands of followers mimicking her every move and clothing she wears selling out in days. But even though the Duchess of Cambridge is well known for mixing high and low pieces — like when she wore a $13 Zara skirt with pricier pieces — for the most part, her casual looks are still incredibly evolved.

It’s easy enough to see just by looking at photos of Kateback from the early days she was dating Prince William. The pair met in collegeand at the time, Kate’s wardrobe lacked the sophistication it has now. It’sclear that over the years, the Duchess of Cambridge has begun to find her confidencein both formal and casual settings.

Kate’s casual looks still have an elevated look and feel

There’s basically no chance that you’ll catch the Duchess ofCambridge running errands in sweatpants or a ripped t-shirt like some celebritiesare known to do. Instead, Kate “dresses down” in skinny jeans, tailored tops, and even coordinating tennis outfits for certain outings when appropriate.

Even at her most relaxed, Kate still looks put together andchic. Even her dressed-down duds often carry designer labels that most averagecitizens aren’t able to afford.

Kate Middleton’s more relaxed approach to fashion makes herseem human

Centuries ago, royal family members were seen as untouchableand far above the citizens who served them. But that façade started crumblingin modern times, and especially after the groundbreakingdocumentary Queen Elizabeth and her family participated in, people began thinkingof the royals as regular people.

There are positive and negative outcomes to this newfound view of the royal family. On one hand, it causes anti-monarchists to question what the point of the royal family really is. But on the other, it makes citizens love the Kate, William, and all the others even more.

Kate Middleton is following in her mother-in-law’s footstepsand inspiring so many copycats who wish to emulate her laid-back yetapproachable style that somehow looks effortless. Whether she’s wearing a fancygown to a state dinner or a pair of shortsfor a sailing gala, Kate always looks absolutely regal. Just as a futurequeen consort should.

Kate Hudson Reveals Groundbreaking People's Most Beautiful Cover on Ellen

For the first time ever, three generations of beauty cover People’s annual “Most Beautiful” issue.

For the first time ever, People magazine is presenting three generations of gorgeous with its annual People’s Most Beautiful cover, featuring Goldie Hawn, daughter Kate Hudson and her daughter Rani Rose.

"It’s definitely an interesting time for reflecting on what is truly important," Kate told the magazine recently. A few months after the February photo shoot, certainly, everything has changed for daily living in America.

For example, it was via remote video that Kate appeared on Ellen DeGeneres to promote the big reveal, with each star sequestered safely in their homes amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"I was so happy they asked about it being a family picture," she told Ellen. "Now more than ever, family is everything, isn’t it? At the end of the day when you boil it all down, we’re all doing what we can by staying in for the sake of not only everybody but the health of our families and to protect our unit. I think that the message of a strong unit is really important and beautiful."

During their interview, Ellen played some behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot, showing the stunning 74-year-old grandmother doting over 16-month-old Rani. It was truly a beautiful thing to watch — almost as adorable as Rani’s little backstage boogie a little later on.

As for Goldie, she tells People she’s using this era of self-isolation to focus on "meditation, nurturing, loving kindness for all in my heart and staying safe inside."

Family is what it was all about in their cover story interview as well, with Kate paying tribute to her mother both for how she showed her how to build a family unit with her 37 year relationship with Kurt Russell, and yet to make sure no man ever "dims your light."

"I’ve never defined myself through the way a man sees me, but I can define myself in the unit that we can create together," Kate said. "That is what Mom gave to me."

Speaking of giving, Kate also revealed to Ellen that her vodka line, King St. Vodka, is currently giving 30 percent of its proceeds to the bartenders’ guild as virtually all of them are out of work during statewide shutdowns of non-essential businesses.

"The second the business goes out, people are losing their jobs and so, for us, the vodka, it just makes sense for us to be supporting the bartenders," she explained. "They’re all out of work right now. We’re trying to get them to come do content and we can maybe pay them to do things like that. Just trying to get more involved in the community to get people working."

Kate Beckinsale's Daughter 'Isn't Bothered' by Her Dating Younger Men

Doing her thing. Kate Beckinsale’s love life may continue to make headlines, but her 21-year-old daughter, Lily, approves.

“Kate’s daughter isn’t bothered by the fact that Kate likes younger guys and she is just used to it at this point,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. “Kate and her daughter are still very close and have a great mother/daughter relationship.”

The 46-year-old actress shares her adult daughter with ex Michael Sheen. Following her 2003 split from Sheen and her marriage to Len Wiseman, which ended in October 2016, Beckinsale has been linked to several younger men.

“Kate is attracted to younger guys that are creative — that’s just her type,” the source explains. “She likes surrounding herself with them because she likes being ‘in the know’ and up to date on what’s cool.”

Beckinsale dated Matt Rife, who is more than 20 years younger than the Underworld star, from 2017 to 2018. Rife, 24, called their relationship “complicated” during a run-in with TMZ in March 2019.

“We dated for a year,” the former TLC host said. “A lot of ups and downs.”

Rife then joked that Beckinsale’s then-boyfriend Pete Davidson should “run.”

“Enjoy it while you can. I hope they’re both happy. I hope that it can build to where it’s an established, good relationship,” he said at the time. “I don’t really have any solid advice. Just be careful.”

Beckinsale and Davidson, 26, were together for four months before they called it quits in May 2019.

“All of my uncles freaked out,” the Saturday Night Live star told Charlamagne Tha God in February 2020 about his romance with the “legendary” actress. “She’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.”

Most recently, Beckinsale has been linked to singer-songwriter Goody Grace, who is 23 years her junior. The twosome were spotted holding hands in Brentwood, California, on Sunday, April 12. She has also been caught leaving flirty comments on Grace’s Instagram posts in recent months.

Us Weekly has reached out to Beckinsale’s rep for comment.
