One wrote: “I agree talking to someone has defiently helpt me and I know it’s helpt so many others. A quote i love is be the rainbow in someone else’s storm,” [sic] followed by a rainbow emoji and a heart emoji.

Another added: “So sad for his family. No-one should feel ashamed to talk, although it's hard to express your feelings. Love you @Schofe. Your such a kind person and a good soul.” [sic]

While a third said: “Great you're still around Phillip, I'm so glad it saved you, I've made the first step,” followed by a praying emoji.

The TV star’s candid admission comes months after he came out as gay in an Instagram post, moments before discussing it on This Morning.

He wrote: “You never know what’s going on in someone’s seemingly perfect life, what issues they are struggling with, or the state of their wellbeing – and so you won’t know what has been consuming me for the last few years. With the strength and support of my wife and my daughters, I have been have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.

“This is something that has caused many heart-breaking conversations at home. I have been married to Steph for nearly 27 years, and we have two beautiful grown-up daughters, Molly and Ruby. My family have held me so close; they have tried to cheer me up, to smother me with kindness and love, despite their own confusion. Yet still I can’t sleep and there have been some very dark moments.

“My inner conflict contrasts with an outside world that has changed so very much for the better. Today, quite rightly, being gay is a reason to celebrate and be proud. Yes, I am feeling pain and confusion, but that comes only from the hurt that I am causing to my family.

“Steph has been incredible – I love her so very much. She is the kindest soul I have ever met. My girls have been astonishing in their love, hugs and encouraging words of comfort. Both mine and Steph’s entire families have stunned me with their love, instant acceptance and support. Of course they are worried about Steph, but I know they will scoop us both up. My friends are the best, especially Holly, who has been so kind and wise – and who has hugged me as I sobbed on her shoulder. At ITV, I couldn’t hope to work with more wonderful, supportive teams.

This will probably all come as something of a surprise and I understand, but only by facing this, by being honest, can I hope to find peace in my mind and a way forward.”

He ended his post with: “Please be kind, especially to my family. Phillip.”

Phillip’s snap, which appeared to show the family in the back garden of their lavish home, revealed the family spent the evening together in lockdown.

The photo received more than 175,000 likes and hundreds of comments from fans, some of which Phillip replied to.

One of the This Morning star’s 3.1million followers slammed him amid reports he had moved out of the family home, and therefore appeared to have broken lockdown rules by returning.

They said: “So you moved out but you’re allowed to visit your family? But I can’t go any visit my children and grandchildren. Just the rich or famous that are allowed, good to know,” followed by an angry face emoji.

Phillip then appeared to deny reports that he had moved into a pad in London as he replied with: “where did you get that I’d moved out….. oh yeah, the papers,” followed by a laughing emoji and thumbs up emoji.

This Morning star Phillip’s denial comes weeks after it was reported he had moved to a pad in central London.

An insider told The Mail on Sunday at the time: “There has been talk for weeks that Phillip isn't living with Steph any more, that he had moved out for good and had a new home. He has a place in central London.

“It's not as big but it's the beginning of a new life for him. It very much also seems as though their marriage could well be over.”

Days later, Phillip was pictured arriving at his reported London apartment block where it was claimed he was staying.

Phillip Schofield drinks from huge gin bottle in lockdown – ‘I mean… f**k it!’

The UK is on lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic and This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield seems to be coping in a very relatable way.

On Saturday, during a boozy night in, the silver fox poured himself a delicious gin and tonic complete with ice and a slice of lemon. He showed it off on Instagram stories, alongside the caption: “I mean… f***k it!”

Why he wrote that was revealed seconds later when he decided to abandon his carefully made G&T and instead hilariously swig directly from the massive bottle.

The video began with Phillip casually dressed in a white T-shit standing in his kitchen. He pours himself some raspberry infused Manchester gin over ice and lemon, before adding the Fevertree tonic.

He then lifts the drink as if to sip it but pauses just at the last moment and changes his mind. He puts the drink down then picks up the huge bottle to drink from, making a ridiculous face as he does so.

The much-loved TV star’s boozy fun could be hair of the dog owing to the fact that his wife Stephanie celebrated her 56th birthday with him and their two daughter Molly, 27, and Ruby, 24, on Friday.

As there is nowhere to celebrate but home during the lockdown, both daughters shared images of the festivities they hosted to their Instagram page.

Phillip, who recently admitted that the ITV show is "hanging on by the skin of its teeth" amid the coronavirus pandemic, pulled out all the stops as his daughter shared a snap which sees generous portions of Buck's Fizz in champagne flutes.
