Amanda Holden fans think they’ve spotted a FACE in her knee – but do you see Simon Cowell or Pat Butcher? – The Sun

AMANDA Holden appeared delighted as she joined her daughters for the emotional Clap for Carers on Thursday evening.

But her continued appreciation for NHS staff and key workers across the country wasn't the only thing that stole the show, as some fans claimed they spotted a face in her knee.

The Britain's Got Talent host, 49, wore a pair of grey shorts as she clapped on the doorstep of her Surrey mansion with daughters Hollie, eight, Alexa, 14, yesterday.

Alongside the clip, Amanda wrote: "#clapforourcarers ♥️ #keyworkers #frontlineworkers ♥️🇬🇧💪🏼🌈🌈🌈 #nhs."

However, fans couldn't help but notice the face on her knee – with some even comparing it to various celebrities.

One commented: "You seem to have Lewis Capaldi on your left knee 😁."

Another said: "Why have one Donald Trump when you can have two 🙈#kneeface."

A third added: "Your left knee looks like Prince George."
While presenter Gethin Jones added: "I feel like your left knee cap is a face that’s smiling too.. 😂👀."

Amanda has been keeping fans up-to-date with her life during lockdown.

Earlier this week, Amanda took to Instagram to update her followers on home life as she drank a refreshing Aperol Spritz.

She captioned the post: “The future is bright the future’s… #aperolspritz” referencing the popular slogan for the former phone network, Orange.

The former Wild At Heart actress flaunted some cleavage in the sunny snap, and wore a pair of sunglasses as she grinned for the selfie – which has since been deleted.

Fans Think Kim Kardashian West Is Shading Taylor Swift With New Snake Print Hair

If there’s one celebrity who likes digging into photoshoot archives for her latest Instagram share, it’s Kim Kardashian West.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is notorious for posting old photos of herself on social media and has been doing so even more frequently while quarantining amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Recently, she unveiled two photos of herself wearing snake-print hair from an old photo shoot on her Instagram, and since sharing the post, fans have had A LOT to say about this never-before-seen look.

Fans think the photos were a dig at Taylor Swift

It’s no secret that Kardashian West changes up her hair quite a bit.

From blunt bobs to floor-length extension, trying out new hairstyles is common for the reality star. However, the hairdo she recently introduced on her Instagram has people talking — and not in a very positive way.

On May 4, the reality star shared a series of photos of herself donning a snake print look from a past photoshoot with her 168 million followers.

A post shared by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on

At first, the post was met with sweet comments from fans who couldn’t help but gush over how gorgeous Kardashian looked covered in snake-print.

However, things quickly turned sour when Taylor Swift stans began calling the KKW mogul out for throwing — what they believed to be — not-so-subtle shade at the singer.

Ever since the Swift’s Reputation World Tour, she’s used snakes as a symbol of empowerment.

With the reptile having been associated with the singer for years, fans had an issue with Kardashian posing in snake-print and felt as though the glamourous photoshoot was her way of taking an unmistakable strike at the “ME!” crooner.

“Snake is Taylor’s brand now. Funny how she used [a] snake to bully Taylor years ago and now that Taylor made a huge fortune with it, she wants to be her,” one person tweeted.

“She’s finally admitting to who she is.. a snake.. come on Kim what’s next your gonna side with scooter and Justin,” someone else wrote.

Not only did fans accuse Kardashian of copying Swift’s brand, some also savagely trolled the reality star for yet another photoshop fail after they spotted something amiss about her hair in the snake-themed shoot.

“THE NAILS IN HER HAIR LMFAO PHOTOSHOP IS HER PASSION,” a Twitter user pointed out.

“Photoshop never loved Kim Kardashian! There’s always some mishaps on her photos,” another person penned.

Kardashian and Swift have been feuding for years

For those of you who don’t know, Kardashian and Swift have been at odds with each other for nearly 10 years, with Kim’s husband, Kanye West, playing a significant role in the drama.

Since West rushed onstage at the 2009 VMAs and made the claim that Beyoncé should have won the award for Music Video of the Year instead of Swift, the musicians haven’t been on the best of terms.

While they seemingly put their ill-feelings to rest for a while, things took a turn in 2016 when Kardashian West shared clips of West and Swift’s phone conversation about the song “Famous” on her Snapchat.

The videos made it seem as though Swift agreed to West calling her a “b*tch” in the song, but Swift later denied that she was made aware of the lyric in question.

After much back and forth and subtle disses on social media, it appeared as though Swift, Kardashian, and West had moved on from the drama since they remained relatively silent about the feud — that is until just recently.

In March 2020, the reality star and the singer started fighting again, after someone leaked the full video of Swift and West’s phone conversation. After years of speculation, the video confirmed that West never asked the “You Need To Calm Down” singer if he could call her the explicative, which proved that she was telling the truth the entire time.

Following the full video’s release, fans began accusing Kardashian of editing the recorded conversation to make it seem like Swift was lying. It wasn’t long before the #KimKardashianPartyIsOver started trending on Twitter with fans calling Kardashian and West the real liars in the situation.

Since then, we haven’t heard anything more about Swift’s feud Kardashian and West, but from the reality star’s latest Instagram post, it seems like the drama is nowhere close to being over.

Some Fans Think 'Iron Man 3' Is Still the Most Underappreciated MCU Film

Could a single character torpedo a film’s reputation? To hear Marvel fans talk about Iron Man 3, the answer is yes. However, with many fans social distancing and re-watching the MCU, the third Iron Man movie is coming in for a reevaluation.

The villain in Iron Man 3 was supposedly the Mandarin, as played by Ben Kingsley. That highly regarded comics villain didn’t turn out the same way in the movies as he did on the printed page

Now that Marvel has promised to do right by that character, that might be a factor in the third Iron Man being seen in a more positive light.

How did ‘Iron Man 3’  fare when it came out

It might surprise some fans to realize that Iron Man 3 is actually the second-most successful of the three movies, according to The Numbers.  The first movie, which kicked off the MCU in 2008, made $318 million here.

Iron Man 2 did actually dipped slightly, making $312 million, but Iron Man 3 rebounded with a solid $409 million. The third movie was an even bigger success internationally, becoming the first of the series to make more than $1 billion.

The third Iron Man movie scored a solid 79 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, with the critical consensus stating, “With the help of its charismatic lead, some impressive action sequences, and even a few surprises, Iron Man 3 is a witty, entertaining adventure and a strong addition to the Marvel canon.”

By comparison, the original Iron Man scored 94 percent, while the second Iron Man brings up the rear with 73 percent, ranking above only The Incredible Hulk and Thor: The Dark World. If any Iron Man movie was received relatively poorly, it was the second, not the third. The second is probably best remembered for introducing Black Widow and not much else.

Why were fans mad about the Mandarin?

Back in 2013, however, Iron Man 3 made some fans angry. The trailers made a big show out of a terrorist called the Mandarin, making it look like the fan-favorite would be the main bad guy.

However, Iron Man 3 pulled a bait and switch: it turned out he was an English actor named Trevor Slattery, who had no idea of the ill doings being made via his image. The real villain was Aldrich Killian, played by Guy Pearce of LA Confidential fame.

Ironically, Killian was the creator of a virus called Extremis, which only seems all the more timely now given the COVID-19 pandemic that has ground Hollywood, and much of the rest of the world to a halt. Some fans were angry that the “real Mandarin” was not the villain.

Kevin Feige was keenly aware of the uproar this caused, to the point that when he appeared at Comic-Con last year to introduce the movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, he promised that this time the movie would feature the real Mandarin.

Ironically, Shang-Chi’s production has been halted by the coronavirus, and at one point it was feared that director Destin Daniel Cretton might have it, though that turned out not to be the case.

How do fans feel about ‘Iron Man 3’ now?

Having watched Iron Man 3 again recently, some fans on Reddit have warmer feelings toward it than they once did. One fan said, “Iron Man 3 still stands as a fun buddy cop movie with a genuinely great performance from Ben Kingsley.” That comparison is apt, since the director of Iron Man 3 was Shane Black, who wrote the original Lethal Weapon

Another fan said, “This movie re-grounded the MCU after there was a giant alien battle for the fate of the world (in the first Avengers). I didn’t grow up reading comics, so I wasn’t as invested in bringing the Mandarin to the MCU. I get why people were disappointed to find out he was just Trevor, but I thought it was a really fun twist!”

Provided the coronavirus doesn’t delay Shang-Chi too far, we should see the real Mandarin in early 2021.

Some Fans Think Better Villains Would Have Made 'Captain Marvel' a Better Movie

With many people re-watching the Marvel movies while under stay-at-home orders, Captain Marvel is coming in for another look. Although the movie was a bigger success than many, including Brie Larson expected, it’s generally not considered one of the top MCU movies quality-wise.

One reason for that has been a factor that has been the major chink in Marvel Studios’ armor: weak villains. Fans like the work by the heroes in this movie, but the villains, despite being played by top talent, come up short.

How did ‘Captain Marvel’ do last year?

Everybody knew that Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far from Home would be huge hits. Those heroes’ names are a virtual license to print money.

But Captain Marvel was more of a question mark. Despite being touted as having the most powerful MCU hero with an Oscar-winning actress playing her, Captain Marvel didn’t have the same kind of name recognition as the Avengers, Spider-Man, or to name a hero from the other team, Wonder Woman

So imagine a lot of people’s surprise when the movie turned out to be one of Marvel’s biggest hits. With a worldwide gross of $1.1 billion, it ranks eighth among the MCU’s movies, essentially tying with Spider-Man: Far From Home the same year, according to the box office site The Numbers. It even beat Wonder Woman, which had made $821 million worldwide the year before.

On Rotten Tomatoes, it got a score of 78 percent, good enough for a Certified Fresh rating, but not in the top tier of MCU movies. David Sims of The Atlantic spoke for many when he wrote that the movie was “more of a solid building block for future endeavors than a must-see solo adventure.”

Why do fans find the villains lacking?

On Reddit, a topic-starter said they were surprised to find Captain Marvel among their favorite MCU movies, but fans responded by keeping their praise for the movie in check. One said: “I really liked Captain Marvel and her dynamic with Fury, but didn’t love the movie. I feel like she needs a Winter Soldier-like movie to really nail her character. Glad you enjoyed it though.”

Captain Marvel’s methodology was to make people who seemed to be allies at first turn out to be villains, including the characters played by Annette Bening and  Jude Law. In fact, the villain pulled a switch on an entire race, presenting the Skrulls as the villains when they turned out to be the heroes.

Another fan got to the villain issue by saying “I thought the villains were kind of boring and bland. Jude Law wasn’t as good as I thought he’d be and the supreme villain lady at the end was pretty forgettable. Plus I think the movie suffered from not having a proper villain fight.”

Where do the Captain Marvel villains rank?

Though the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the biggest franchise in the world, it didn’t get there without a few missteps. Almost from the beginning, fans and critics complained that villains weren’t Marvel’s strong suit.

More recently, Marvel earned high marks for Killmonger and  Thanos in particular, villains who were the heroes of their own stories.

Collider ranked the MCU villains last year, putting Tom Hiddleston’s good guy/bad guy Loki at the top and Mickey Rourke’s Whiplash from Iron Man 2 at the bottom. Captain Marvel’s Yon-Rogg played by Jude Law, came in at number 16 out of 27, with the site writing, “one could maybe make the argument that he’s a stand-in for ‘Man Who Gaslights Woman Then Thinks She Owes Him for Helping Her,’ there’s simply not enough for Law to do for the film to really dig into anything of substance.”

By contrast, Thanos ranks number 4. Micheal Keaton’s Vulture from Spider-Man Homecoming is number 3, and Killmonger from Black Panther is 2. It will be interesting to see how the villains of Phase 4 rank when it has heroes like the Eternals and Shang-Chi, who are less well known.

Sister Wives fans think ‘jealous’ Christine will be next to leave after Meri as Kody Brown ‘emotionally abuses’ her – The Sun

SISTER Wives fans think "jealous" Christine will be next to leave after Meri as Kody Brown "emotionally abused" them both.

Viewers are convinced she'll soon snap and walk away from the polygamous marriage – just like Meri.

Kody's wives now live separately but fans think that could signal the beginning of the end for "independent" Christine in their marriage.

One fan said: "Kody sounds like he’s getting ready to swap some wives out😫 Meri and Christine would go 1st, cause he actually likes Robyn and Janelle is just along for the ride"

Another wrote on Twitter: "I have to say that Christine changed entirely when they moved to Vegas. She was miserable living with the other wives. Maybe pleural marriage isn’t for her."

Another said: "Kody seems emotionally abusive 2 Meri and Christine."

And one more fan mused: "Meri should leave this loveless marriage, Christine should live in the Forrest since she wants so much privacy."

MERI said her marriage to her husband, Kody, is over after years of marital strife in Sunday’s Sister Wives.

Meri, 49, made the shocking admission during a marriage counseling session with Kody, 51.

The first wife said their relationship has been “pretty rocky.”

She continued: “People ask me all the time why I don’t leave.

“The relationship between he and I is gone, it’s dead, it’s over.”

Kody then explained how they had a “very fast courtship.”

He added: “I didn’t know who I was marrying. I am just done with hearing how am wrong.”

In another preview for the episode, he said: “We’re family, but we’re not acting married.”

Meri responded: “He doesn’t want to move forward with trying to work things out with me.”

He fired back: “I can never be honest because she’s unable to move away from being the victim.”

Kody and Meri married in 1990 and welcomed one daughter, Mariah, together.

He went on to marry Janelle in 1993, Christine in 1994 and Robyn in 2014.

Kody divorced Meri, his only legal wife at the time, in 2014 to be able to adopt Robyn’s children from a previous marriage.

Then, Meri was involved in a catfish scandal where she fell in love with another man over the Internet.

But the man ended up being a woman.

Their marital issues continued from there, as she said on an episode last season: "It’s hard to be here and work on these relationships in the family.

"I’m looking in from the outside. I don’t feel like I have a husband and wife relationship.”

Meri sparked trouble in paradise by not posting a photo with Kody since January 2019.

She also went on multiple vacations over the last two years without her husband.

Last week, Meri cryptically posted: “Walk away from anything that gives you bad vibes.

"There is no need to explain it or make sense of it.”

On last week’s episode, Meri was brought to tears when she found her marriage certificate.

When Robyn joked about “burning” theirs, Meri cried in her confessional:  “It’s valid in my heart. That’s why I keep it.”

Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10/9c on TLC.

Real Footy podcast: ‘I think we left a couple on the table’

Three flags over five years; premiers in 2007, 2009 and 2011. Geelong's haul was an impressive one.

But did the Cats reach their full potential?

This week on the Real Footy podcast, Jimmy Bartel joins Michael Gleeson, Jake Niall and Caroline Wilson to talk about his brilliant AFL career, including the three premierships that Bartel believes got away.

We get the inside word on Mark Thompson's very brief instructions at quarter-time of the 2009 grand final that changed a game, and find out about the hardest game of football Bartel played.

Why was his favourite home and away season game a loss? What was the most "insane" goal he has seen up close? And why does he get asked more about a point than any goal he kicked?

Bartel also takes us inside GWS for a club perspective on the league shutdown. In his role as football director at the Giants, how does he view the AFL's handling of the situation? What is happening at clubs in terms of dealing with players and staff? And does he agree with Leigh Matthews' comments on the players' handling of pay cut negotiations last week?

Plus, the panel tosses up some options for dealing with lists next season. Should the draft age be lifted? Should there be a veterans list at each club for 2021? And in the shorter term, can a Brownlow Medal be awarded if the season isn't completed? And could we see the grand final played somewhere other than the MCG?

Footy might be on hold, but this podcast is not. Make sure you subscribe wherever you get your podcasts to get every episode as it drops.
