'90 Day Fiancé: Is Karine Martins Pregnant After Filing for a Protective Order Against Husband Paul Staehle?
The couples on 90 Day Fiancé don’t always have the easiest relationships. Some of them end up splitting up before their seasons even finish airing and others call it quits after the cameras stop rolling. Karine Martins and her husband Paul Staehle have had one of the most publicly tumultuous relationships in the franchise. Now, Staehle is claiming that Martins may be pregnant.
What is going on with Karine and Paul?
Staehle and Martins first appeared on season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days and came back for season 2 of the show as well. The two met and married while filming. Viewers have seen the pair go through a number of hardships together, including when Martins suffered a miscarriage. Though the original plan was for Martins to come to the U.S., the pair couldn’t afford to get the K-1 visa, so Staehle ended up moving to Brazil.
While in Brazil, the two appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way where they had a number of fights as Staehle claimed that Martins was texting other men.
In August, Martins obtained a protective order against Staehle.
“I want you all to know that me and Pierre are doing well now,” she wrote in an Instagram story. “All this past days I had a lot going on. As the media showed, I had issues where the police was called because I feared for my life and my son’s life which led me to ask for help and ultimately be rescued from an environment that no longer was healthy for none of us involved in the situation [sic].”
Is Karine pregnant?
Martins and Staehle have been estranged ever since news of the protective order broke. But now, Staehle has revealed new information about their lives, and alleged that Martins is pregnant with his child.
“For everyone thinking I am chasing Karine in Brazil. Karine is in Indiana USA,” he wrote in an Instagram story captured by People. “I came here alone to clean and organize our Brazil home. It needs to be sanitary and baby safe.”
“I have been keeping busy since she left,” he continued. “I finished cleaning and organizing USA house so now I am doing the same in Brazil. All my work is on the internet so as long as I have internet I can be anywhere. Even court is on the internet these days.”
Staehle went on to say that he is working to come to terms with the fact that his son is probably out of his life forever.
“I just want to stay busy and be productive,” he said. “I have to accept the fact that I will probably never see my wife and son again. Or see the birth or ever see my unborn child. That being said I think I am doing what is best staying constructive and busy.”
Staehle and Martins have been working toward getting a divorce since last November. Martins has yet to confirm the alleged pregnancy.
