Adam makes hurtful new accusation against cheating Sarah in Corrie

Away from helping Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) with her legal case, Adam (Sam Robertson) has a lot on his mind in Coronation Street as he deals with the aftermath of Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) affair.

Sarah and Damon (Ciaran Griffiths) have been sneaking around for months, grabbing every chance they can to meet up and sleep together.

While Sarah enjoys herself with Damon, she knows that she’s risking so much and often ends up telling him that they can’t see each other again.

Not that it lasts for long.

Upcoming episodes will see Sarah face her reality as after kissing Damon in the flat, a comment from her young son, Harry, makes her realise that he knows about the affair.

She tries her best to tell Harry that he should keep it a secret, but the lad tells Adam that his mummy’s a liar.

Shaking like a leaf, Sarah is left with no choice but to tell Adam about sleeping with Damon.

With Sarah desperate to fix her marriage, Adam initially refuses to give her another chance.

She then turns the tables, suggesting that he’s partially to blame for the breakdown as he was always at work.

Common ground is found in the week, however, when Adam and Sarah agree to meet for lunch.

However, when Sarah has to cancel because of work, Adam’s jealousy is reignited, believing that Sarah was lying about what she was up to.

With things incredibly difficult between the couple right now, can they work through their problems?

While Tina O’Brien has enjoyed playing Sarah in a ‘different light’ she recently acknowledged not every Corrie fan is seeing the storyline in the same way.

‘Some of the comments I’ve been getting about her behaviour are awful!’, she told us.

‘They think her behaviour is disgraceful but then there are others saying that this is real life, affairs/flings they happen. It’s important to show that yes Sarah is usually very well behaved, yes she is happy but this man has just got under her skin.

‘We’re seeing her make bad decisions that aren’t necessarily the best for her but she’s still making them so yeah, it’s really interesting to play.
