Bachelor fans accuse Rachael Kirkconnell of 'cultural appropriation' and slam Matt James frontrunner for 'racist' posts

BACHELOR fans have slammed Rachael Kirkconnell for previously liking “racist” posts and accused the Matt James frontrunner of “cultural appropriation.”

The reality show contestant’s controversial social media past has come back to haunt her as pictures depicting “racially insensitive” content have resurfaced this week.

Bachelor Nation has recently dug up alleged social media activity from the Georgia native.

In one photo allegedly posted by Rachael, 24, that was labeled as “offensive,” she can be seen wearing a Native American costume.

The ensemble included a beaded feathered headpiece and matching brown fringe dress.

She posed in the picture with a gal pal who wore a short police officer costume.

In June 2020, Rachael posed in a group bathroom selfie where she and six other friends all wore a headpiece.

One of the girls in the picture was wearing a feathered Native American headdress and paired it with long braids.

Fans are also furious at the brunette graphic designer’s past Instagram engagement.

Screenshots grabbed by fans allegedly show Rachael – who fans think wins this Bachelor season – “liking” a series of “racists” pictures posted by her friends.

One snap shows two Caucasian women dressed in a hula outfit posing in front a Confederate flag.

Another displays a trio of ladies proudly posing in traditional Mexican ponchos and sombreros while donning large fake mustaches.

In addition to the social media activity, one alleged ex-class mate of Rachael, Maddy Bierster, shared a TikTok video that showed Rachael on here one-on-one date with Matt, 28, on last night’s episode.

As Rachael is shown on screen, a laugh track is applied to the audio and written over the clip, Maddy wrote: “Girlieeeee, remember when you bullied me in high school for liking black guys???”

Bachelor fans have expressed outrage since the accusations came to light, with some vowing to boycott the show altogether.

One person tweeted: “Since its the start of black history month & rachael who has been exposed to be hella problematic aka racist gets that 1:1 date with matt and she will be centered today.”

“Ok the racist girl on bachelor (Rachael) thinks she can turn off her ig comments and I won’t find a way to Cybér Bûlley,” another wrote.

A third said: “Frankly, Rachael Kirkconnell should have been pulled from this season once all of this came to light. It’s just so f**ked.”

While hundreds of others expressed their disappointment over the reality star’s “racist” behavior.

As contestant’s are unable to speak out while they are still on the show, Rachael was not available for comment.

However, the current ABC leading man responded to the harsh allegations, and warned people need to be “careful” with what they say online.

He told ET: “You have to be really careful about what you are doing on social media.

“Rumors are dark and nasty and can ruin people’s lives. So I would give people the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully she will have her time to speak on that.”

The Bachelor airs Monday’s at 8pm EST on ABC.
