BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay ditches his suit as he posts selfie in sequinned cowboy hat | The Sun

BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay sported a glittering cowboy hat as he visited Eurovision yesterday.

The presenter couldn't contain his excitement as he got a behind-the-scenes glimpse of yesterday's semi-final.

Jon, 53, could be seen rocking a sequin encrusted cowboy hat as he snapped selfies whilst watching the show.

Grinning at the camera, Jon posed for his followers whilst wearing a floral shirt to compliment his headgear.

In the snaps, Jon also captured images of contestants performing, surround by flashing lights and special effects.

The colourful display was in preparation for the semi-final hosted last night.

He said : "You might have heard, the wait is over. The first of the semi-finals for Eurovision takes place tonight in Liverpool. And it's fair to say the city, all of us…the whole country is buzzing."

Some viewers on the other hand are less than impressed, with some taking to social media to complain about the BBC's coverage of the contest.

One sarcastically said: "Does anyone know when Eurovision is on? The BBC have barely mentioned it….”

Tomorrow, the second round of the Eurovision semi-finals will be judged by Spain, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

There will be a total of 26 acts who will be competing to be crowned Eurovision winner 2023.
