Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) is faced with a huge shock in a new Coronation Street spoiler video when the police turn up on his doorstep unexpectedly.

So unexpectedly, that he doesn’t even have time to get dressed.

Poor Dev is just minding his own business, chilling in his dressing gown, when he is faced with two officers – and it is all Bernie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) fault.

Bernie seems unfazed by the officers’ arrival as she munches on her toast, but Dev is more than a little flustered as he babbles through his introductions.

When one police officer asks to speak to Bernie down the station, Dev demands to know why, and Bernie is shifty when the officer explains that they are investigating a case of fraud relating to Shelly Rossington.

Shelly was a friend of Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) who he met at a support group after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.

The pair became firm friends and regularly met up, providing support and a listening ear to one another.

Shelly was much further along in her MND journey than Paul, and sadly passed away in a recent episode.

Viewers will know that Bernie and Shelly had been working together to buy and sell laptops using Shelly’s old business account prior to her death, much to the disgust of Paul.

Paul had already told Bernie to stop with the operation, and was on his way to tell Shelly the same when he ended up falling, meaning that he was unable to visit her.

Despite the fact that she is completely guilty, Bernie insists that she knows nothing about the fraud, leaving the officer to point out that it would be a quick questioning then.

Bernie quickly decides to get dressed, before assuring Dev that they would be able to go to the stag do together, though he wasn’t to breathe a word about this questioning to Paul.

Will Bernie face prison as a result of her actions?
