BGT act has ITV viewers in stitches as he accidentally say they’re ‘swingers’
Britain's Got Talent act Soldiers of Swing had ITV viewers in stitches tonight as they accidentally said they were 'swingers' during their introduction.
The act consists of 41-year-old Sergeant Vince Fountain and 31-year-old Corporal Lee Day who are usually soldiers, but are trying their hand at singing on the show.
Things began shortly after the pair were introduced by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donelly.
Dec was heard saying: "Tonight we start with two hunky fellas who had a very shaky start to the auditions."
Ant chimed in: "Yep, they can't quite believe they've made it to the semi-finals and they're desperately hoping that if tonight goes well, they'll be back here next week."
Cracking a joke, Dec jibed: "That's enough about us two, the first act tonight is Soldiers of Swing."
Lee was then seen talking to the camera as he said: "I'm Corporal Lee Day, we are the Soldiers of Swing, we're swingers."
Then as he realised what he said, he exclaimed: "Err swingers? Easy," as he began chuckling. haha.
The pair were stopped by Simon Cowell in the first audition for the show as he asked to hear a second song.
Judges Amanda Holden and David Walliams also told the pair that they wanted to see them in uniform.
However, things came together tonight as they performed their version of One Direction's Story of My Life while in their uniform.
David told them after their performance: "It's such a shame about social distancing because I'd love to just get up there and give you both a big hug because that was absolutely fantastic.
"I think it works better with uniforms as you're soldiers and that's special, you should celebrate that."
Fellow judge Alesha Dixon added: "I'm really happy for you, your audition was tough. It's lovely to see your growth and chemistry."
Amanda: Do love a man in a uniform, so smart don't they David, congrats you smashed it
Ashley Banjo also chimed in: "Big respect, that was a big step up."
Tonight (October 3) is the last semi-final before the big finale when the winner of this year's BGT will be crowned.
