Coronation Street Geoff and Daniel clash over sex worker Nicky in criminal twist

Coronation Street fans are about to see a new twist in the sordid Geoff Metcalfe storyline, as he makes a new enemy in Daniel Osbourne.

The Corrie villain famously hired escorts while married to Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King), sneaking behind her back and paying women to sleep with him.

Geoff's (Ian Bartholomew) philandering has since become public information, meaning Daniel (Rob Mallard) has a bone to pick with the evil wife abuser.

Daniel, who lost his wife Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) last year, has been seeing sex worker Nicky Wheatley (Kimberley Hart-Simpson) to help cope with his grief in recent months, with the two forming a platonic friendship.

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed things are about to take a turn in upcoming scenes, as Nicky and Daniel sleep together in a fit of passion.

After Nicky confesses she is desperate to leave sex work behind, Daniel decides he will do everything in his power to help pay off her debts so she can leave the industry.

Later, when he runs into Geoff in Adam Barlow's (Sam Robertson) office, Daniel can't help but pass a remark on his history with sex workers.

Affronted, Geoff storms out of the office – leaving a mysterious padded envelope behind in his hurry to leave the premises.

Later, Geoff returns to the building on a hunt for his envelope, which had been full of cash.

When Adam learns Daniel has already searched for the loaded envelope, he is rightly concerned.

Visiting Nicky in the hospital after she received injuries on the job, Daniel hands her the envelope full of dosh, urging her to leave sex work in the past.

Later, Geoff confronts Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) on the street and accuses her of stealing his money – only for Adam and Daniel to look on in concern.

While Daniel denies ever taking the money, Adam warns him about Geoff's dark past, hinting it would be a mistake to cross him.

If Geoff finds out Daniel has stolen from him, could his head be on the chopping block?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
