Coronation Street pictures – Stephen kidnap, huge return and wedding destroyed

Sneak a peek at next week’s Coronation Street with our first look picture gallery above, teasing a number of jam-packed episodes, as Stephen Reid’s sick plot faces a huge setback.

After locking horns with Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) agrees to fly out to Vegas that afternoon to marry Stephen (Todd Boyce), much to Sally’s (Sally Dynevor) shock.

Sally subsequently relays the news to Tim, who comes up with an idea, as he offers to run Elaine and Stephen to the airport, making out that he accepts their marriage plans.

Tim lures Elaine into his taxi and, leaving Stephen on the doorstep, he speeds away with his mum a hostage in the car! As Sally and Stephen watch in disbelief, will Tim be able to put a stop to his mum’s wedding?

Is Stephen set to be foiled? Will Tim’s kidnap plot work? Or will Stephen come out on top once again, like the dastardly villain that he is?

Elsewhere during the week in question, Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) descends into criminality, contemplating stealing a car from Frescho’s car park, as Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) tries to talk him out it.

Paul seemingly takes his pal’s advice, as he turns the tables on Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths), demanding that he pay him a sum of £10,000 or he’ll turn him in to the police.

Damon plays along with Paul’s demands, but the criminal soon sets in motion a revenge plot, using his contacts to shut down Paul once and for all.

Max Turner (Paddy Bever), meanwhile, makes his on-screen return after weeks of absence, with David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) receiving word that his son is being considered for early release – but when he visits Max, he is sure to warn him to not to get his hopes up.

Coronation Street airs these scenes between May 1 and May 5 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
