Emmerdale star Martelle Edinborough returns to soap after brain surgery
Emmerdale star Martelle Edinborough has confirmed she is back filming for the ITV soap after undergoing brain surgery.
The Suzy Merton actress revealed back in April that she was recently in hospital to treat a brain aneurysm.
‘A few wks ago I was told an existing brain aneurysm thought to always be tiny & stable had in fact always been of a size that needed treatment,’ she posted on her Twitter account early on April 19.
She continued: ‘Not sure where the error occurred for it to take so long to highlight this but despite the initial shock, I could only receive it as a Blessing & refused to allow it manifest into fear, stress & anxiety.
In the comments that well-wishers posted, Martelle also added that the NHS staff ‘really do deserve everything they are asking for.’
After recovering from the op, Martelle shared two pictures on her social media this week (May 9), confirming she had returned to the ITV soap.
One picture featured the Stage Door outside the Emmerdale set, and another of her dressed up as her character.
