Mario Flacone has backed his big sister Giovanna Fletcher to win this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 32, said his sibling Giovanna, 35, is “relatable and real” as it was announced she would be taking art in the 20th series of the show.

Proud brother Mario said: “I can see her winning. People love Giovanna because of how relatable she is as a mum, and she’s very real.

“There is so much to Giovanna that people haven’t seen that will make people love her even more. I think she’s got a very good chance of getting to the end.

“She is a very strong woman, there is not much that will faze her,” he added to The Sun.

Most stars dread the creepy crawlies or the gruelling Bushtucker Trials, but Mario revealed his sister will struggle being away from her three sons Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, two, who she shares with her McFly husband Tom Fletcher.

Mario explained: “That will be the hardest part for her. She loves her boys more than anything in the world.

“That will really make her struggle, but she will find warmth in knowing that they will be watching and they are at an age where they understand.

“They will love watching mummy on TV and they will know that they will be cheering her on and she will do them proud.”

Mario joined Giovanna, who Eamonn Holmes threw shade at last week, for a trek in Oman in 2017 to raise money for breast cancer charity Coppafeel.

Reflecting on the trip and how it may benefit her in Gwyrch Castle, Wales Mario said: “She was the team leader, and I was the team leader, and we had to do an eating challenge on the last night with gross insects, and she beat me," laughs Mario.

“I don’t think the eating thing will be a problem. She’s quite strong-minded and competitive.”

Mario also shared his support for his older sibling as he posted a photo of her dressed in her I’m A Celeb gear on Instagram.

He wrote in the caption: “My amazing sister is going into @imacelebrity.

“She will absolutely smash it, I have no doubt! I couldn’t be more proud! Go Giovanna” folioed by a red heart emoji and high five emoji.

And it appears Mario isn’t the only star who thinks Giovanna could be crowned Queen Of The Jungle as I’m A Celeb 2019 winner Jacqueline Jossa commented on Mario’s Instagram post: “Mark my words I shall be handing my crown to this queen!”
