AMC horror series Fear The Walking Dead debuted season six, even if it was later than originally planned. The show was supposed to be premiering in its usual spring slot but due to the coronavirus pandemic, this was pushed back. Fear The Walking Dead is now plugging the gap where season 11 of its parent series was supposed to be airing this autumn.

As fans know, work on season 11 couldn’t go ahead because of the global health crisis but it looks like filming on The Walking Dead will be getting underway soon.

Instead, season six of Fear The Walking Dead is airing weekly on AMC during the autumn period this year.

Season 11 of The Walking Dead is expected to be premiering in autumn 2021.

With the second half wrapping up in 2022 due to a midseason hiatus.

However, AMC has confirmed there will be six extra episodes in season 10 which will be airing at some point in 2021.

These additional instalments are most likely to be arriving in late February or early March when the season 11 midseason premiere would have been broadcast.

Again, the disruption of the COVID-19 lockdown has had a knock-on effect on The Walking Dead in this respect.

The bonus Walking Dead episodes are being filmed at the moment whiel adhearing to coronavirus restrictions.
