Gemma Collins takes swipe at co-star ex Arg saying she's never fallen in love with anyone she's worked with

GEMMA Collins appeared to swipe at ex James 'Arg' Argent as she admitted she has never been in love with anyone she worked with.

The 39-year-old made the admission on her new BBC podcast Gemma Collins Love Lounge yesterday as she discussed workplace romances.

Gemma first briefly dated Arg in 2012 after meeting on him on Towie. The pair then had a well-documented on/off romance on the ITVBe from December 2017.

The GC dumped Arg this summer after he cruelly fat shamed her, calling her a "hippo" and "fat f**k" in a string of vile WhatsApp messages.

She was also heartbroken when he asked if they could be in an open relationship, with Arg previously praising the Towie favourite for supporting him during his cocaine addiction.

Weighing in on workplace relationship, Gemma insisted that she had "never fallen in love with anyone" who she worked with and "couldn't think of nothing worse".

She said: 'Personally I've never fallen in love with anyone in the workplace – I couldn't think of nothing worse. I went to work to work. I didn't go to work for love.

"Yeah, I mean, I don't put work and love in the love in the same category and yeah, I can honestly say I've never ever, I can honestly say, liked anyone – fancied anyone – that I worked with."

Adding: "But I'm quite proud of that fact but I do know friends that have fallen in love with people in the workplace.

"Some people who I used to work with did fall in love in the workplace and went on to get married, but they'd always be arguing at work and to be honest it was very problematic, and I think that's what put me off.

She continued: "But I have witnessed that. I do know of people, again, that are carrying on with people in the offices, I hear it all the time and it goes on, we can't deny it.

"I always say, what's meant for you won't pass you by, it's just that George Clooney hasn't realised that I'm the love of his life yet."

The former couple split for good in July after she posted break-up texts on her Instagram account in which he called her a "hippo" and a "fat f**k".

They had split in 2019 after Arg refused rehab but reconciled weeks later and flew to Dubai in a final bid to resolve their issues.

Over the weekend, it was revealed that Gemma has finally collaborated with Piers Morgan for an emotional tell-all interview.

The bubbly blonde joins the likes of Sir Rod Stewart, Sir Elton John and Dame Joan Collins to be quizzed by the straight-talking Good Morning Britain host and she is the first Towie star to feature on the ITV show.

The Sun on Sunday exclusively revealed that they spent more than six hours filming last Friday for the episode, which is due to air in several months.

She opened up about dealing with Arg’s cocaine addiction and how she dialled 999 on several different occasions during his dangerous drugs benders, fearing he would die.

She also told of the cruelty she endured when he branded her a "fat f***" earlier this year, as well as previous abusive relationships, including when ex-boyfriends have been violent towards her.

Piers, famous for making his subjects blub, will also probe The GC on becoming a self-made millionaire and her struggle to become a mother and have kids.

A telly source said: "It was an emotional rollercoaster and Gemma opened up to him about deeply personal subjects, including how toxic her relationship with Arg had become and some exes who were abusive to her.

"It was a cathartic experience, though, and she’s proud of how far she’s come."
