General Hospital viewers call for Linsday Hartley to get permanent role
General Hospital fans were rather happy with the way Lindsay Korman-Hartley has stepped into the role on Sam McCall Morgan on the hit soap.
The former Passions actress was on hand to fill in for Kelly Monaco after a breathing issue on set forced her to step away from filming.
And Lindsay, 42, has been inundated with praise from viewers for her portrayal of the fan-favourite character, with many calling for her to join the cast in another role.
One fan wrote: ‘@L_Hartley IS AN AMAZING ACTRESS I DONT WANT HER TO LEAVE #GH EVER !’
While another added: ‘I actually hope GH does create a character for her so she can stay.’
One viewer tweeted: ‘Hopefully they will keep her on in another role!’
As one commented: ‘Great Actress. Im just glad to have GH back on the air…hope she sticks around.’
Another wrote: ‘Recast always make me nervous because it takes time for them to develop chemistry with the other actors but she has done an amazing job!’

Another viewer wrote: ‘Although I like her playing Sam (I was a fan of Sam until she got with mood killer Jason) and she should get a permanent role on the show.’
While another added: ‘Can they please bring you onto GH as someone else? We need you permanently:).’
Lindsay made it clear she enjoyed her time on the show as she wrote on Instagram: ‘Thank you @generalhospitalabc for the fortunate experience to play Sam, and especially during this moment in time. It was a fun ride.’
Time will tell if Lindsay returns to the General Hospital set again sometime in the future.
