GOOD Morning Britain viewers can't believe Sean Fletcher is 46 after he reveals his "real age" on the show.

Viewers were shocked to notice the journalist had a makeover during lockdown, swapping out his shaven head for his longer, natural hair.

Sean then revealed he grew out his hair to make him look older.

He said the shorter hair meant he "wasn't respected", whereas now with his longer hair, he believes he looks his age of 46.

He said: "I can confirm I am Sean Fletcher but I'm not the Sean Fletcher I was before.

"My son has alwasy been desperate for me to grow my hair … People treat me with a lot more respect now I have my long hair. I'm 46 and I think the short hair made me look younger."

Sean revealed he was often mistaken for weather presenter Alex Beresford when he had a shaved head.

But viewers were still shocked Sean was that old – with many believing he was in his 30s.

One person said: "Sean is 46?! I thought he was a similar age to me (30)#GMB"

Another said: "I like Sean's hair and he definitely doesn't look 46. He's looking good #gmb"



A third remarked: "Did Sean say he was FORTY-SIX?!?"

GMB revealed sports presenter Sean would would take over from Piers Morgan last month.

The dad-of-two has been the face of a number of shows on BBC and ITV and was awarded the hot seat while Piers and Ben Shephard take time off.

Sean is an American-British journalist who has become a popular face on ITV and BBC.

He was born in New York City, but grew up living in Zimbabwe and Essex, before starting his journalism career in Cardiff.

He started working on Radio 5 Live and has gone on to host a number of popular shows.
