Jen Aniston and Brad Pitt ‘to reunite’ at virtual 2020 Emmy Awards nine months after SAG embrace – The Sun
JENNIFER Aniston and Brad Pitt are set to cross paths once again, this time virtually at the 2020 Emmy Awards.
The famous pair, who were previously married for five years before a shocking split in 2005, reunited publicly for the first time in 2020 at the SAG Awards, and left fans reeling at their friendship.
Now, however, fans can hope for another potential reunion as both are nominated at this year's Emmy Awards.
Jen scored a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on The Morning Show, while Brad is nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Dr. Anthony Fauci on Saturday Night Live.
Brad and Jen divorced after the actor met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith and fell in love. They had always insisted there was no affair involved.
Rumors that Brad and Jen were back in contact have circulagted for years, but after they both won in their categories at the 2020 SAG Awards, they ended up in the press room at the same time.
Cameras caught the moment they greeted each other with a hug and lots of hand-holding.
Brad gasped "oh wow" as he watched Jen take home Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her work in The Morning Show.
The 56-year-old – who also won the top prize of the evening for Outstanding Performance in Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood – looked in awe of his ex-wife as he was secretly filmed watching her speech.
Despite being more open about their rekindled friendship 15 years after their divorce, it was the first time they've publicly been seen being affectionate.
They couldn't stop smiling as they openly flirted in front of photographers on the red carpet.
Jen is now divorced following a short-lived marriage to Justin Theroux while Brad's divorce to estranged wife Angelina has hit a standstill in recent months.
The coronavirus pandemic has forced them to put a pause on "legal matters" four years after their separation.
A source explained to Us Weekly: “Brad is seeing the kids but everything involved in their process of resolving legal matters between Angelina and Brad, including the courts, is slowed down because of COVID.
“With the pandemic, it has been hard for everyone, including them. The legal process is slowed because of that."
