Justin Hartley left Young and Restless as Adam Newman in explosive bombshell

Eric Braeden stars in The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless has seen a revolving door of cast members since its pilot in 1973, the CBS soap has also kick-started the careers of a number of actors including Justin Hartley.

He was introduced to viewers in 2016 as Adam Newman, the son of Victor Newman (played by Eric Braeden) and Hope Adams (Signy Coleman).

Hartley became the fourth actor to star as the troubled villain, who was previously presumed dead.

Following his resurgence, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) continued to seek justice for their seven-year-old daughter Delia Abbott who was killed in the hit-and-run crash caused by Adam.

While it seemed Adam was killed in a cabin explosion and seemingly evaded prison for Delia’s death, the actor announced his exit.
