The 40-year-old was said to have been robbed at gunpoint at Hôtel de Pourtalès by five men dressed as coups.
Yunice Abbas, who is accused of stealing $10 million in jewelry from the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, opened up about the incident in the book titled I sequestered Kim Kardashian.
According to an excerpt published in the French magazine Closer, Kim apparently tried to call America's rescue line while in France.
Yunice writes: "Our two beauties stubbornly tried to call 911… the emergency call number for the US. Not very efficient when you are in Paris."
The alleged thief, who is just one of11 suspects charged for the crime, is currently awaiting trial.
On October 2, 2016, five men allegedly tied and bound Kim while she stayed at the luxury hotel – they are also accused of stealing abut $10million worth of jewelry, including a ring that the mogul is said to have given up.
Kim's bodyguard Pascal Duvier was allegedly protecting her sisters' Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner at a nightclub at the time.
Yunice writes that the mother of four "complied" during the alleged burglary.
In the book, out February 4, Yunice also claims that he had elderly accomplices to help him gather information on the hotel beforehand.
He writes: “What’s more reassuring than the elderly, who are as peaceful as they are anonymous, to gather a maximum of information on scene."
Kim spoke about the incident during an interview with David Letterman on his show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction in 2020.
She recalled: "I saw him have a gun out to me, and I was like, 'Okay, this is it.'
"I just kept on thinking about Kourtney. I kept on thinking she's going to come home, and I'm going to be dead in the room — and she's going to be traumatized for the rest of her life if she sees me."
After her experience, Kim still struggled as she admitted: "I was just really scared of everything.
"I can't sleep at night unless there's half a dozen security guards at my house, and that has just become my reality and that's okay."
Kim is also currently dealing with marriage issues as she is aiming to "divorce" her husband, Kanye West.
A source previously told The Sun that the pair's "divorce" may seem “amicable” at first but things will “get ugly” as they battle for custody.
The insider revealed: “Neither of them want to seem like the loser in this divorce and they both will fight hard for their kids.
“Kim has made it clear she wants full custody so if Kanye tries to fight her on that, the custody battle will be brutal."
The famous pair share daughters North, seven, and Chicago, three, and sons Saint, five, and Psalm, one.
Kim, however, is "not in a rush" to officially file for divorce.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Kim is taking it slow as she’s already grown so “comfortable” living a separate life from the rapper.
