Keeping Up with the Kardashians is into its 18th season, which is currently airing on E! and Hayu.com in the US and the UK respectively. Why did Kourtney Kardashian quit Keeping Up with the Kardashians?

Kourtney Kardashian has been part of Keeping Up with the Kardashians of 13 years.

She has also been part of the show’s spin-off series Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons and Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

Over the past 13 years, the show has followed her on-and-off-again
relationship with Scott Disick, watched her give birth to her three children and captured the highs and lows of being a celebrity.

However, Kourtney has made the decision to quit the show entirely.

She officially confirmed the news on Instagram when responding to a follower who questioned why she would not just leave the show entirely if she did not like cameras following her around.

The user wrote: “Kourtney just needs to quit the damn show! I’m over her not wanting to film.”

Replying to the comment, Kourtney simply said: “I did. Bye.”

Kourtney then took to Twitter to release a longer statement ahead of the latest episode.

She tweeted “I don’t judge anyone who chooses a different route, and I hope that everyone can appreciate my choices as well. With love, Kourt.

“it’s the hardest and most rewarding job that I have ever had. I’ve decided to put my focus on my kids and my lifestyle brand, Poosh, which is all about finding YOUR healthy balance for living your best life.

“I won’t be live-tweeting #KUWTK tonight, as I’m spending time with my kids while they are on spring break.

“I realize that a lot of the conversation right now surrounds my work ethic, and I feel like I need to just make one thing clear: raising children is a job as well. In fact,”

The news comes after Kourtney and her younger sister Kim had a major fallout, which was captured by cameras and shown in the latest episode of KUTWK.

Kim and Kourtney’s verbal argument even transpired into a physical fight, which youngest sibling, Khloe Kardashian tried to split up.

At one point, Kourtney slapped Kim so hard that Kim’s make up transferred onto the wall, which can be seen in the clip.

Kim recently has broken her silence on the fight and revealed the sisters had to postpone filming of the show for a week afterwards.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon by video call, she was asked about the fight.

Kim said: “It was pretty intense. I feel like it’s been a lot of built-up resentment from Kourtney and her just feeling like she really doesn’t want to film any more, so she’s not the type of person to make a decision and say, ‘Okay guys, I’m not going to film’, but she would come to work with an attitude every day, kind of take it out on everyone from the crew, to us, and wouldn’t really make that decision.

“So we would kind of like, just keep on pushing her to find out what she was so unhappy.”

Thankfully, Kim revealed that she and Kourtney are now on good terms.

Kim added: “I don’t really ever resort to violence like that, but she scratched me so hard, which you guys didn’t see, I was bleeding!

“You don’t really get to see that detail, but when I looked down at my arm and I saw that she had really scratched me and I felt it on my back, I just went over and you know, slapped her back.

“So it’s not my proudest moment, but we were going through it and she’s made the decision to take time off now and I think she really needs it.

“I think that’ll be so much better for her.”

In the same episode, Kourtney said she found a memorial she attended with her family even more “miserable” as they were followed by their television crew.

At the end of the episode, Kourtney said with a smile on her face: “I’m taking a break from the show. Now I can focus on me and plan my time of being a mum.

“I want to be fulfilled and happy – life is too short.”
