Piers Morgan gives fans a rare look inside his London home as he has a glass of wine on Zoom with son Spencer

PIERS Morgan has given fans a rare glimpse inside his plush London home during a video call with son Spencer.

The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host enjoyed a glass of red wine as he chatted away to his eldest son on Zoom yesterday.

Sharing the moment with his 1.4 million Instagram followers, Piers was seen relaxing on the sofa with a selection of books in the background.

The room also featured orange curtains and a dark wooden table, which was complete with a selection of framed photographs.

While Piers held up his wine glass, son Spencer snapped away on his phone.

The TV star has lived in his West Kensington townhouse with wife Celia Walden and daughter Elise since 2009.

Alongside the shot on Instagram, the GMB star wrote: "First ever Zoom drinks with No1 son.

"It was either that or watching Spurs on TV – and we haven’t reached that lockdown rock bottom yet."

Piers, who is an avid Arsenal supporter, shares a close bond with his eldest son.

However, fans couldn't help but comment on how unimpressed Spencer, 27, looked in the photo.

Taking to the comments, one wrote: "Blimey, looks soooooo happy to see you."

A second shared: "Number one looks so impressed!"

In addition, a third commented: "Thought that was Joe Wicks at first lol."

Piers certainly has a lot to celebrate this week after GMB became the most watched show in history.

The controversial host celebrated the momentous occasion with a throwback selfie and wrote: "Yesterday’s @gmb was the highest-rated in our history.

"Big historic moment for our show. I couldn’t be prouder of ⁦‪the entire @GMB‬⁩ team, on & off camera, than I am today."

He added: "As @GMB hit a record ratings high of 28% audience share, we were up 170k viewers & 6 share pts year-on-year.

"And @BBCBreakfast was down 166k viewers & 5 share pts. This piece in @TheSun was perfectly timed. We're taking them down, one viewer at a time."

Speaking about the show's success, Piers recently revealed: "I think it's the chemistry Susanna and I have – real yin and yang – and the way she holds me accountable for a lot of the stuff I say.

"Viewers really like that because it mirrors all the debates everyone's having at home amongst their friends and families.

"That's been one of the key components to our success too – that we argue with each other as much as we do with people who come on the show."
