Ruth Langsford forced to apologise after guest swears live on This Morning
RUTH Langsford was forced to apologise to This Morning viewers today after a guest swore live on air.
Ruth and her husband Eamonn Holmes were hosting a consumer rights segment when the air turned blue.
Money expert Katie Morley had been invited on to the ITV show to help with viewers' consumer issues.
But when one viewer called in to ask for advice about a faulty sofa she had bought, Katie told her: "Oh I'm so sorry, darling, that is s**t."
Instantly realising what she had said, Katie immediately slapped her hands over her mouth and giggled.
Ruth, meanwhile, cut in and said: "We do apologise for that."
Eamonn, however, stayed entirely deadpan as Katie composed herself and continued giving the caller advice.
Taking to Twitter, viewers were quick to joke about the awkward moment.
One tweeted: "She dropped the “s**t” bomb!!! #thismorning."
Another added: "Sorry darling that’s s**t’ brilliant #thismorning."
A third said: "That was hilarious! You can't say she isn't empathetic #ThisMorning."
One fan of the show even urged viewers NOT to apologise to television watchdog Ofcom, saying: "Don't anyone dare complain to Ofcom! Great to hear someone say it exactly as it is.
