Spoilers: Phil destroys Linda's alcoholism recovery in EastEnders?

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has been working ever so hard to leave the booze alone in EastEnders as she struggles with her alcoholism, but she encounters something of an obstacle in the coming episodes, and it’s an obstacle in the form of Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), as he ends up attending the same alcoholics support group as she.

Linda vowed to give up the booze following the boat crash, as she realised her marriage was more important to her than alcohol.

Since then, she’s done everything within her power to combat her addiction, and — with the exception of one slip-up — she’s done incredibly well.

In an effort to support his beloved L, Mick (Danny Dyer) decided that it would be in their best interests to sell up and get out of the pub game.

Additionally, Linda has been attending alcoholic support groups, but she encounters a problem in the coming episodes, as Phil shows up at the same support group, and she’s left feeling uncomfortable as a result.

Later in the week, Linda is adamant that she can no longer attend said support group if Phil is going to be there as well, and Mick and Shirley (Linda Henry) are left frustrated as a result.

Will they be able to convince her to go?

Linda has done incredibly well thus far, but losing the support group could have a negative effect on her, and this is something that Mick and Shirley will no doubt be determined to avoid.

Will Phil’s presence at the support group end up sabotaging her recovery?
