Spoilers: Yasmeen calls the police over Geoff in Corrie but is it the end?
Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) has refused to believe Alya’s (Sair Khan) claims in Coronation Street about Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew), but she’s given plenty of reason to believe her granddaughter may have been correct about the abuser in the coming episodes, as she calls the police in order to access information — but will this bring an end to the story?
With Alya having come to believe Geoff was lying about the hotel booking he claimed to have made, she revealed that she’d been to the police about him and he grew angry and proceeded to threaten her.
Yasmeen’s interests were piqued in regards to the hotel booking, and therefore — after doing some investigative work to discover what his password was — she snooped on his laptop, and came to realise that he’d lied about said hotel booking.
When she questions him about this — not to mention the emails from an escort agency — he confirms that he lied, but as she goes to leave, he blocks her way and prevents her from doing so.
In the coming episodes, Yasmeen manages to stride out of the house, and — round at Alya’s — she tells her granddaughter that she was right about Geoff, before revealing that she’s coming to the wedding.
However, Yasmeen soon discovers messages on her phone from Geoff — messages which imply that he might take his own life — and therefore she insists on going to check on him,
When she arrives back at the house, Yasmeen’s horrified to find a smashed photo frame on the table with drops of blood on it — and no sign of Geoff.
Where is he?
Later, Yasmeen insists that she can’t go to the wedding, so she rings the police and asks them how to go about accessing information under Clare’s law.
Later in the week, she meets up with two police officers in the community centre, and they inform her about Geoff’s criminal past.
The question is: is Yasmeen in danger?
What’s more, will this knowledge bring an end to her marriage with Geoff?
