How did we manage to top the Strictly leaderboard again last week?! It was amazing.

It’s only made me more nervous for the semi finals this weekend though. I’m feeling the pressure!

It’s been exhausting having to learn TWO routines this week. As soon as you wrap your head around one, you have to learn the other.

Janette and I are dancing the Rumba and the Charleston. Both are two completely different styles.

You have to be really upbeat for the Charleston and then come back down to being all gentle for the Rumba. It’s very difficult.

We’ve tried to manage it by learning one part in the morning and then the other in the afternoon. But I’m definitely finding the Rumba more difficult.

I was listening to a chat with the Strictly judges this week and even they mentioned that the Rumba will be difficult for me. It’s basically a slow Cha Cha which has been my lowest score.

I’m working hard on it though! We’re dancing the Charleston to Another Day of Sun from La La Land which I was so happy about because I love the film.

Isn’t Ryan Gosling an unreal actor? I’ve definitely taken inspiration from him. He can dance, act and sing. I hope I could do the same thing one day, I’d love to be in a movie.

If I found out Ryan watched me on Strictly, I’d go in and ask him to cast me in one of his next films. I’m also inspired by other actors too like Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman.

I’ve really enjoyed getting into character for the Charleston. It’s very cheeky chappy.

The Rumba is HARD though. It’s very lovey and all about the eyes. I’m having to channel my inner 35 year old man.

Janette and I are always giggling, we’ve found this week a little awkward. We’re both the opposite of mature so we just can’t help but laugh when we’re training for a serious dance.

She gets strict with me though! She shouts as me to get into character and says, “Come on you’re in love!”

It was so lovely to hear some praise for Janette also last week from the judges. She choreographs these dances. A lot of the time it’s all about me, but she works harder than me so it’s nice to hear her get recognition.

We were all so sad to see JJ and Amy go home last weekend. JJ is the most lovely human you’ll meet in your life. He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. Sometimes I’d want him to get angry and swear at me, but he never would.

Craig said last week that watching me was like looking in a mirror for him! I’ll take that! Craig is a handsome guy and amazing dancer. He called me a triple threat which is a huge compliment.

I’m really happy for Maisie who was up at the top of the leaderboard with me last week. She’s doing so great and the public are really getting behind her now. I’m very proud of her.

I have no idea what I’m wearing yet, but we’re acting out a coffee shop scene for the Charleston, so I’m guessing I’ll have a little apron.

I’m really hoping to not be at the bottom of the leaderboard this week. We need to be consistent. But it’s hard when there’s only 5 couples now!

I couldn’t tell you why everyone keeps voting me to stay in Strictly each week. I knew that I could dance and pick up the steps but I didn’t know I’d come this far. Hopefully people just keep on voting!

I think Ranvir or Bill will win the show. I’d love to see Ranvir win, she works so hard and is so lovely. She’s like a flower, she’s blossomed.

It would be cool to win myself. But whatever happens happens! When it’s all over I can’t wait to see my dogs!

I think I’m also going to treat myself to a holiday in the new year. It’ll be lovely to go away with my friends and family.

All I’m really focusing on now is getting through to that final. It would be the icing on the chocolate cake and winning the show would be the sprinkles.
