The Big Bang Theory fans crown best-ever episode – but what is it?

Sheldon Cooper Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory has revealed which episode fans have voted its best-ever.

The iconic sitcom is available to stream in US on new service HBO Max, and the provider kicked off the mother of all competitions to celebrate.

Namely, they asked TBBT stans to vote on their favourite episode in the series’ 12-season run, which is a tall order indeed.

And there’s so much to choose from – would you go pre-introduction of Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) and Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz (Melissa Ranch)? Do you think the show stumbled in its last few seasons? There are, as any scientist would say, a lot of variables to consider here.

HBO Max gave fans a long list of iconic moments from various episodes to consider – but only could be the winner, and it’s a good one, we assure you.

Trumping celebrity cameos, emotional highs and everything in-between was…Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) popping out of a ball pit and shouting ‘bazinga!’ numerous times.

Yep, that’s right, probably the most instantly meme-able and memorable moment in the show’s history as been voted its very best, and we can’t say we’re mad about this decisison.

Ball Pit Bazinga was included in the episode The Einstein Approximation, which was 14th episode of the show’s third season.

The instalment itself follows Sheldon as he tries to solve a particularly complex scientific issue, and ends up driving himself into a obsessive tail-spin.

Basically, it ends up with him bouncing in a ball pit shouting bazinga, it’s funny.

The moment beat out its closest competition, which was the cameo of Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy.

Of course, the show itself may have ended in 2019, but its influence lives on, clearly.

Its stars are also branching out to bigger and hopefully better things – Kaley Cuoco is preparing to launch her adaption of thriller The Flight Attendant on HBO Max, whilst Jim Parsons has just been nominated for an Emmy for his work on Ryan Murphy’s period drama Hollywood.

The Big Bang Theory is available to stream now via Netflix.
