The Chase fans were floored after not being able to recognise any of the contestants on the ITV celebrity special.
The line-up included sports broadcaster Mark Chapman, Sky News reporter Gillian Joseph, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom and comedian Fred MacAulay. However, fans didn't know any of them.
The episode was shown on Sunday and sent fans swarming to social media to share their thoughts on the lineup.
One fan said: "I don't know a single person on the 'celebrity' chase today. #TheChase"
A second added: "Isn't this meant to be a special celebrity edition? #thechase"
While a third penned: "#TheChase I didn't even realise this episode was a celebrity version, never seen either one of those people. I just thought the crowd were really lively for general public!"
A fourth wrote: "Thought this was celebs I don’t know any of them #TheChase"
A fifth put: "Thought it was a celebrity Chase. I’ve never heard of any of them. #TheChase"
And a sixth typed: "#thechase Celebrity Special. Not heard of one of them ~ and I watch trash tv!"
The special edition saw the four stars face off against Chaser Shaun Wallace in a bid to win money for their chosen charities.
All four members of the team made it to the Final Chase, and they racked up a lead of 22 steps for The Dark Destroyer to catch.
The pulse-raising round saw Wallace quickly catch up to the 22 points, but he got a question wrong right at the end, and eventually it was too late for him to chase down the team.
With just two seconds on the clock, Shaun was out of time and host Bradley Walsh excitedly cried: "Time is up!"
The studio erupted in cries of joy as Ryan, Mark. Gillian and Fred hugged each other – celebrating a huge win for charity.
Fans were delighted with the team's achievement, with many congratulating them on Twitter.
One fan wrote: "that was awesome!! Congrats @markchapman and to the team that was with you! Incredible!
A second commented: "Four great charities will benefit from their win!! Excellent stuff!"
