The Chase fans speechless as player gets 8 questions wrong in cringey round
The Chase fans were left in hysterics during tonight's show when a contestant – who happened to be an assistant headteacher – got eight questions in a row wrong.
Tony ended up only taking £2,000 to The Chaser which happened to be Shaun Wallace after he got eight questions wrong in a row which were asked by the show's host Bradley Walsh.
Before taking to the table to battle it out against a Chaser, the contestants must answer a series of questions to see how much money they are taking to the time.
Sadly for Tony, it appeared either nerves got the better of him or he wasn't quite up for the challenge after he answered the wrong answer or skilled for multiple questions.
Viewers watching instantly rushed to their personal Twitter accounts to share their thoughts.
One wrote: "Assistant head teacher, knows nothing #TheChase."
Another tweeted: "This guy is an assistant headteacher #TheChase," followed by a sea of laughing emojis.
"He's taking the p**s aint he? Assistant head teacher!!! & some of them answers were stupid…"Scary Spice" havin a giraffe!!! #TheChase," commented another.
"You’re not going back to your school, are you, Tony? #thechase," said one troll.
But Tony managed to get £28,000 saved and get through to the next level.
