'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' to Return to the Air With Jennifer Lopez Among First Guests

DeGeneres will tape the show remotely from her home


“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is returning to the air on April 6.

The talk-show host will tape the episodes remotely from her home to be aired on television as before. Jennifer Lopez will be among the first guests she’ll interview via video chat.

“Since going into quarantine two weeks ago, I’ve been doing my show at home every day. But only for Portia. Starting Monday, you’ll be able to see it too, and I can’t wait,” said Ellen DeGeneres.

Other stars on next week’s lineup include Chrissy Teigen, and John Legend, drew Drew and Brittany Brees, and David Spade.

The show’s resident dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss and executivepProducer Andy Lassner will make cameo appearances.

“Ellen” has been off the air for a few weeks since almost all talk shows canceled their live audiences and soon after went off the air stopped production during the coronavirus pandemic. Like many others, DeGeneres has been filming “Ellen’s Home Quarantine” series for her YouTube channel instead, on which she interviews celebrities from home.
