Top Gear's Freddie Flintoff secretly welcomes fourth child with wife Rachael
Freddie Flintoff and his wife Rachael secretly welcomed their fourth child, a boy, at Christmas.
The Top Gear presenter announced the heartwarming news this week, including their baby son’s name, Preston – a touching tribute to his hometown.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Freddie said: ‘Little Preston was born at Christmas – it is the first time I’ve actually spoken about it.’
The couple, who’ve been married since 2005, also have Holly, 15, Corey, 14, and Rocky, 12.
Congats, guys!
Freddie and Rachael first shared their pregnancy news back in October, with a source telling MailOnline they were ‘over the moon to be expecting again.’
Back in 2017, however, Freddie revealed that he had no plans to have any more kids.
‘We thought about it,’ he told The Sun at the time. ‘I originally wanted five but you have three and that felt like enough. I couldn’t go back to the nappy stage now.’
Freddie continued: ‘Both Rachael and I have changed in a lot of ways. We’ve been married 11 years now. It’s just growing up, I suppose.’
Back in September, Freddie had a lucky escape after he crashed on a drag race track while filming for BBC series Top Gear.
The presenter had been pushing the pedal to the metal at Elvington Airfield near York, where Richard Hammond had a brush with death in 2006, when he came off course at high speed.
Thankfully though, Freddie came out unscathed.
Although Freddie has admitted he probably went ‘too far’, one witness has claimed that he ‘could have been killed’ in the horror accident.
