Fans of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before are getting something extra special with a brand-new spin-off focused on her sister, Kitty.
The character, who was known for her love of matchmaking, is set to find things far more difficult when it comes to her own love life.
As the new series heads to Korea, here’s everything you need to know about the new Netflix show.
When is the release date for XO Kitty?
XO Kitty was first announced to be in development back in March 2021 and now it’s almost time to see it brought to life.
The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before spin-off is going to make its debut on Thursday, May 18, on Netflix.
All 10 episodes are going to be dropped onto the streamer at the same time for subscribers to binge-watch over the weekend.
Who is the cast of XO Kitty?
Actress Anna Cathcart is going to be reprising her role as the titular character of Kitty in the spin-off.
Her long-distance boyfriend Dae was previously played by actor Jeon Hoyoung, but he couldn’t return to the series as he recently took part in MNET’s talent competition Boys Planet.
Instead, Dae is going to be portrayed by South Korean actor Minyeong Choi, who has previously been in the K-drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One.
They will be joined by some of new classmates, including Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Minho, Anthony Keyvan as Q and Peter Thurnwald as Alex.
Actors John Corbett and Sarayu Blue will also be reprising their roles as Kitty’s dad and new stepmother, but as Kitty is no longer living at home, it isn’t sure how much they are going to feature.
It’s currently not been confirmed if Noah Centineo and Lana Condor will make appear as Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky, being seen only in flashbacks to the original films in the trailer.

Is there a trailer for XO Kitty?
Yes, a trailer for XO Kitty was released by Netflix on April 25, showing Kitty jetting off to Seoul after landing a spot at a prestigious Korean school.
She travels to the other side of the world to be reunited with her boyfriend Dae, only to discover he has a new girlfriend.
But Kitty’s story will be far more than just another series about relationships.
In the trailer, Kitty says: “This isn’t all about a boy.
“I’m ready to start experiencing new things. I want my own adventure.”
What is XO Kitty about?
XO Kitty is the spin-off to the To All the Boys film franchise and takes place after the movies.
This time, it’s all about Kitty who swaps her life in Portland for an adventure in Seoul so she can see long-distance boyfriend Dae again.
The official synopsis reads: “Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey thinks she knows everything there is to know about love.
“But when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she’ll soon realize that relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line.”
XO Kitty premieres on Thursday, May 18, on Netflix.
