Bill Pullman responds to Trump tweeting ‘Independence Day’ clip
Bill Pullman has responded to President Trump tweeting a doctored clip from “Independence Day” that features the real president’s head superimposed on the actor’s body.
“My voice belongs to no one but me, and I’m not running for president — this year,” Pullman told The Hollywood Reporter.
Trump on Saturday tweeted a clip from the 1996 flick, in which Pullman played a fictional president.
In the clip, Trump’s face is photoshopped over Pullman’s as he fires up the troops before they fight against alien invaders — and features some other familiar faces in the audience, including Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity from Fox News, and the president’s son, Donald Jr.
“We’re fighting for our right to live, to exist,” Trump says as the Pullman character in the clip. “We’re going to live on. We’re going to survive.”
The video, posted by Mad “ObamaGate” Liberals, has been viewed 13.3 million times since Trump posted it Saturday afternoon.
