Boy, 13, and dad stabbed outside home near primary school as teen, 14, arrested for 'attempted murder'

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy and his dad were knifed outside their home with police arresting a teenager on suspicion of attempted murder.

The father, 37, and his son were attacked outside their house in Sheldon, West Midlands, just before 10pm last night.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and wounding.

He remains in police custody.

The dad and son were attacked with a knife and treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed ken to hospital.

The father was slashed across the back and is recovering at home, West Midlands Police said today.

His 13-year-old son suffered more serious injuries and was kept in hospital for further treatment.

Eyewitnesses told Birmingham Live"four or five" police cars with armed officers arrived at the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We treated a teenage boy for potentially serious injuries and a man for injuries not believed to be serious.
