When asked what she wanted people to know, Gigi said: "That I miss him."
She told GMA that she missed playing with her dad and concluded that she knows what she wants to be when she grows up.
"She didn't have to play with nobody else because daddy was going to play with her all day long," Washington said.
After Washington revealed that all she explained to her daughter about Floyd's dead was that "he died because he couldn't breath" – Gigi concluded that she aspires to be "a doctor."
"So I can help people," she added.
Washington praised Gianna's dad for "just wanted her to have the best."
She said: "We were struggling so he did what he had to do as a man and he had to come here to Minneapolis to work. And he said I’m going to come back and get y’all.
"I mean, that was his baby. He loved his little girl."
'DADDY CHANGED THE WORLD'
Gigi also appeared in a video where she proudly declares "daddy changed the world!" after her dad’s death sparked a global protest movement.
The video, which was shared to Instagram on Tuesday and shows the little girl smiling proudly as she sits on the shoulders of a family friend, has given inspiration and hope to many who are campaigning for justice.
Ex-basketball pro Stephen Jackson, who has been campaigning for justice on behalf of his longtime friend, is seen holding Floyd's daughter with her arms outstretched.
The former NBA star has been vocal about his friendship with George, often referring to him as "twin" in his social media posts and vowing to get justice.
Another post shows Jackson giving Gianna a piggyback and reads: "Don’t worry Twin on my soul I got GiGi. Know dat. I am my brothers keeper and I got a lot of brothers. #justiceforgeorgefloyd."
On Tuesday, Gianna's mum spoke out about her grief over her former partner's death, saying their six-year-old will never be walked down the aisle by her father.
"He was a good man," said Washington, in a news conference in Minneapolis on Tuesday. "I'm here for my baby and I'm here for George because I want justice."
Gianna stood by her mother, who choked back tears as she demanded justice for the 46-year-old, who died during an arrest last week.
"I don't have a lot to say, I can't get the words together right now. I want everyone to know that this is what those officers took from me," she said, referencing their daughter.
"At the end of the day, they get to go home and be with their families. Gianna does not have a father. He will never see her grow up, graduate, he will never walk her down the aisle.
"If there's a problem and she needs her dad, she does not have that anymore."
Floyd died on May 25 after being arrested for trying to use a fake $20 bill to buy cigarettes.
While in police custody, Chauvin held his knee on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes — while Floyd repeatedly said he couldn't breathe.
He soon died, and his death was determined on Monday to be a homicide following a second, independent autopsy.
