Trump says he beat COVID-19 because he’s a ‘perfect physical specimen’
President Trump said he’s a “perfect physical specimen” and feels better than ever after battling the coronavirus.
“I’m back because I am a perfect physical specimen and I’m extremely young. And so I’m lucky in that way,” he said on Fox Business Thursday.
His comments came in response to the Commission on Presidential Debates announcing on Thursday that the next presidential debate next week in Miami will be virtual with both Trump and Biden participating from remote locations.
Trump returned to the White House on Monday after receiving three days of coronavirus treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center that included supplemental oxygen and therapeutics, including the steroid dexamethasone and Regeneron, a cocktail of antibodies.
“I’d love to do a rally tonight. I wanted to do one last night. But I think I’m better to a point that I feel better than I did,” he said.
He said he received Regeneron and it made all the difference.
“You take it and it beats the hell out of it. And I’m telling you I could have walked out of there 24 hours after I went in. I didn’t even have to go in frankly. I think it would have gone away,” he said.
