Video shows moment NYPD vehicle hits woman

New video shows the moment an NYPD patrol car struck and seriously injured a woman walking in the Bronx on Monday afternoon.

Footage obtained by The Post shows the pedestrian in her 30s strolling on the crosswalk at Pelham Parkway and Wallace Avenue around 3:26 p.m. — and then suddenly speeding up her pace.

That’s when a police cruiser — en route to an aid call on the Throgs Neck Bridge — rams into her in the bus lane, the clip shows.

Officers who were at the scene gave the woman CPR, cops said. She was taken to Jacobi Hospital in “very critical” condition.

A single pink running shoe was on the side of the roadway as cops investigated the scene.

The patrol car was responding to a request for assistance from cops who had stopped a vehicle on the Throgs Neck Bridge. It wasn’t clear what the stop was for, but officers made two arrests.

There were reports that the cops were responding to a shots fired call, but an NYPD spokesman said that wasn’t the case. A third party might have reported gunfire to 911, the spokesman said.
